the issue you are having has been seen by MANY and a workaround has been made, and to say "I say cannot whether it works for Sprint." is just plain silly. Please read before posting.

I've tried my best to the thread, but at nearly 450 messages (44 pages x 10 posts a page = 440), I'm about to lose my mind.
I've seen this asked, but I've yet to see a conclusive reply: Does this work for Verizon? If so, are there any special steps for it to do so? Thanks! |

ok im done playing everything works great!!! time for bed!!!! i love the new rom, and will be running a good test on how she holds up between here(baltimore) and south carolina tomm. i also have installed tomtom6 on my phone. the only thing i dont like is the fact that i have to run google maps in the backgroung for the tomtom to recognize sat position. i hope someone here finds a cure for that! anyways, what a eventfull day and ill be on later with my trip report.

Got mine all working thanks to some help from Shadowmite and Luv2chill. Updated the SPL to Olipro.2.40 from the download Shadowmite provided. Ended up loading the rom from the microSD using the same instructions in the first post.
GPS works providing I startup google maps first. I installed MioMap 3.3 PDA and it worked on Com4. It's fun to play around with, but I'll redo it with a custom rom once some more optimizations are done...probably later this weekend. Pic below is from the PDA version of MioMap. Inside my house, I was able to lock onto 3 sats. Not too bad, but don't expect this to compete with a sirf iii GPS receiver. ![]()
