Thx!
Have you used any caller ID apps lately? I know in my using S2U2, when I do a reset and get a call in before I can activate it again, sometimes the caller ID bubble acts like your describing. If you have used one, I assume your not now, so make sure the app and the reg settings for it are deleted, and do a reset....see if that does the trick!!

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Maybe this is known (I searched the forum), but what the heck, it might help someone:

I had a problem with my browser (Opera & Skyfire) not allowing me to select certain text boxes like the one I am typing in now.

I was able to fix this by changing my advanced browser settings to identify my omnia as a desktop comp instead of handheld device.
This post has been thanked 1 times.

Not sure what I managed to do, but this problem appears to have fixed itself. I had done a soft reset before to no avail, but did one again this morning and it's now fixed. Not sure if they are related or if there was something else that happened. I also moved some widgets around and changed them up, so who knows if that had something to do with it...

Had this issue happen again - It may be related to the keybd app (I was running Finger Keybd2 and suspect it could be related, so I uninstalled it to see if I run into this problem again).

I soft-reset and it's gone away again. We'll see if it comes back.
BTW- I had a hard lock-up today that was odd. Wouldn't turn back on with multiple soft-reset button pushes, yanked the battery, nothing... finally restarted. If that happens again, will bring it back for a replacement.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

I'm sure its not the case, but I can't help but ask. Is your main or mass memory almost full? That can cause some wierd things to start happening on phones. I don't know about PPC's, but I work on alot of Nokia BB5 and older models, and we see them come in with full memory alot, and they always do funny things like resetting, running slow, freezing up, shutting off and not powering on for a while. Your power description just sounded very familiar....

It's possible, although there's a LOT of memory on these devices (at least compared to my old xv6800), so it seems like when I look in task manager there's usually 40-50M of ram still available...

This most recent lockup, I had just closed all tasks with the samsung task manger/switcher... There was a lot of stuff that was apparently running at the time, so I'm somewhat suspicious of this.

Hmm....

I am unable to drag it that low. They are draggable, are you unable to?

Something that *may* help.

http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueNoBar.aspx

Use this to lose the bottom bar, then see if you can drag it back up.

I tried to drag it, but was unable. Need to try with a stylus maybe while I'm calling myself (instead of getting a real call). If that doesn't work, I'll try to nuenobar app.

Will report back what happens.
