Wireless Manager

On my other WM devices they had a button that was mapped to the wireless manager. But, I have not found a way to do this on the Omnia. I cant even put it into the start menu or as an icon on the samsung today 1 screen. Does anyone have a way to do this without editing the regs?

You can add it to a hard button if you wanted to have quick access to the program...
Go to the start menu-->Settings-->Buttons

From here you can assign the task manger to any one of the hard buttons that are available.

Re: Wireless Manager

i appreciate the response, but I am looking for a way to map the Wireless Manager to a button, not the Task Manager. When I go to the setting> buttons screen, there is not a choice for the Wireless Manager.

Anyone else have any ideas??

Re: Wireless Manager

Try http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php. You can then map one of your buttons to a single, double or even a triple click and will perform the action you want(e.g. open a program, Close (not minimize) the app!! (Very usefull), launch the executable you want, etc.) I think the wireless manger executable is in the manager wirless connections exe is in the windows directory, but I don't know the name.

Re: Wireless Manager

The file your looking for is: in the Windows folder. I don´t know if you could assign it to a hardware button, but using iFonz you can have an icon for it (it will probably work with Keyswap and a softwarebutton to...)

Re: Wireless Manager

I have Wireless Manager on my screen as an item for Today. This isn't a hard button access solution but I have mapped other functions to available buttons already and this gives me the instant access I want.

If you have the Samsung today 2** you can have this icon showed.

settings > personal > today > items then select Samsung Today 2 AND the wireless box as well. then you are done.

** I have the i910. I had to find the .cab file on some board to download it. I have heard that it is already pre-installed on the i910 but I could not find it.
