And U still don't see the point. WM ROM's put any google product in there and nobody hears from Google. SO why is Google singleling cynayogen out? That is the question. Apparently, He pissed of somebody from Google that is why they are after his @ss. Plus cyanogenmod is not the only custom Android ROM out there that has this Apps. It just rings 1 thing to me. He's Custom Android ROM is too great and too popular and Google does not like it. Google is still in control of Google Android. It is not as open as U think. Enuff said!

Re: HTC leo or Touch Pro2
read this from geardiary. Is this how U define Open Source?
Looks like Google is re-defining the definition of open source. Foolish me figured if it’s open , that means you can do anything with it. Right? Guess not. Funny how Windows Mobile, Palm and RIM (closed systems) have never had this policy. Expect some fancy footwork as this little agreement becomes more widely known. Snuggled right in the pages of Google’s Android terms of service: Google may discover a product that violates the developer distribution agreement … in such an instance, Google retains the right to remotely remove those applications from your device at its sole discretion, Last edited by jethro_static; 09-25-2009 at 07:11 PM. |

Open source OS is not Open if there are terms like that. How can an Open source OS have boundaries and limitations? So I will say it again. Android is open source in theory. |

Re: HTC leo or Touch Pro2
Everyone should chill about open source. Android is open source, Gmail and the etc. never were. It's just like if Microsoft created something open source and you complaining because Microsoft Office is not.
Second, The Leo is early, but i'm sure its going to be a hot choice, though I have a grave feeling its GSM. TP2 for now, as Leo is a ways off, and not guarenteed CDMA, especially because its supposed to be an unbranded model or something |

Re: HTC leo or Touch Pro2
I wanna say this that U sporklan, Think that U know something. But In reality, U know nothing. U keep on saying that Google does not have anything to do with Android anymore. U keep on saying Android is so free and anyone can do whatever they want on Android. But U never link anything on anything U claim. Dude, R U an Android developer? All U say on this rebatal is Android is open source. On what level? U sporklan is brewing stories, U do not have proof to back up ur claims, So I will say, Give it up, bcoz U don't know anything about Android aside from the fact, That It is open source.
Now sporklan, Define to me What Android Open source mean. The way even a noob will understand? Last edited by jethro_static; 09-26-2009 at 04:24 AM. |
