Re: Finally sprint agree to swap me from 6800 to touch pro when it release.
I've had mine since november of last year.
Would something like this work> Dear Sprint I've had my mogul for some months now and have had numerous problems with it. It has been replaced and fixed mulitiple times and thing continually keep malfunctioning with it. On top of that the bluetooth is very poor and phone is slow to respond at times. Should I say I know the touch pro is coming out and suggest them replacing the mogul with that ? Or is that too forward and sure fail? |

Re: Finally sprint agree to swap me from 6800 to touch pro when it release.
Ok so I fired off another email and got this:
Thank you for contacting Sprint Customer Service. I am happy to assist you regarding the handset upgrade. I understand that the HTC Mogul handset active on the line ********** is not working properly. The account is not eligible for any rebate against the purchase of any handset. Considering the exception, I can offer the rebate of $100.00 from my side. You can purchase new handset from one of our following sales channels: 1) Sprint Store: You can visit nearest Sprint Store for the equipment. The advantage is that you can view the actual equipment. Plus you can activate the same at the store. The nearest Sprint Store is just 2.7 miles away from you and the address is as mentioned below: What do you guys think? should I press it anymore? I'm still not payin $479 for this I got mortgage and a Jetta to pay for, we in a recession damnit!!! Last edited by WorldWide; 10-04-2008 at 09:52 PM. |

You could call Asurion after the Touch Pro comes out. That's how I went from the 6700 to the 6800.

Re: Finally sprint agree to swap me from 6800 to touch pro when it release.
I just sent them an email last night. Here is the reply I received from them this morning.
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand your concern regarding your HTC 6800 phone and it is not working properly. I have discussed your case with my supervisor and I am happy to inform you that the phone can be replaced for you. Please visit the nearest Sprint Store to purchase the new phone of your choice and our store representative will be glad to assist you in choosing a new phone, as per your requirements. Just click on this hyperlink to find the nearest Sprint Store in your vicinity: http://storelocator.sprint.com Please swap your current phone with the new phone by contacting us at 1-888-211-4727 from a landline phone. Once you activate the new phone, please reply to this email with a scanned copy of your purchase receipt of new phone and we will send a return kit for the HTC 6800 phone. Once we receive the HTC 6800 phone, we will apply the credit of $549.99 equal to the cost of the HTC 6800 phone to your account. So you will not be charged for the replacement phone. I have placed a supporting note on your account in this regard. Your satisfaction as a Sprint subscriber is important to us. If there is anything else I can assist you with, please reply. Re: Finally sprint agree to swap me from 6800 to touch pro when it release.
Success!
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced due to the handset problem. As stated in the last interaction by previous representatives that the handset is still under the manufacturing warranty. Therefore, I would suggest you to please purchase the Touch PRO handset at the nearest Sprint Store and we will send the return kit for the HTC Mogul through e-care. Once this handset is returned to the warehouse the account will be credited for the handset price. This way you will be charged only the price difference of the handset. The account will be credited for the handset in 1 to 2 billing cycle. However, I would suggest you to please provide us the Tracking Number of the returned handset and we will apply the credit of the handset through e-care. In addition to this, I can offer you additional $50.00 credit from my side on handset upgrade. So, you need to purchase the handset at the Sprint Store and after activating it just replay and we will apply the $150.00 ($100.00 previous promised +$50.00 promised now) credit on the account. If you need any further assistance please write back. I will assist you further. Thank you again for e-mailing Sprint. We appreciate your business. Sincerely, Customer Service Specialist Sprint |
