Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

I've gone through 6 of them. My friend who gave me my 6700 is giving me a 6800 since I don't wanna renew yet.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

just got off the phone with VZW and they OK'd me for a brand new 6800 replacement from my 6700. since i was on my third 6700 (2nd refurb) and i told them I want a new phone not a replacement refurb and they told me to hold on and they'll see what they can do and they told me i might be eligible for a replacement swap. and i was. so they upgraded me to a 6800.. but i am having issues with my phone, which i wasn't lying about any of it. VZW has great customer service IMO

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

I had the 6700 for a long time. I broke my screen while exiting a golf cart. Hit it on the rail. I call Asurion and they sent my a refurb 6700. The keyboard was very loose. So I called them back to let them know and the lady wanted to fill out a damage report. I told her it was not damaged, it just wasn't assembled correctly when it was refurbed. She put me on hold, when she came back she told me all we have is refurbs. I told her I was aware of the fact that they didn't produce the device any longer. She said well the only thing I can do is send you the new version, it is called a xv6800. I dramatically said well I guess that will have to be ok if that is my only option. I am enjoying it very much. I miss all the folks over here, but I am making new friends on the 6800 threads.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Well I called Verizon once again and this time they made me an offer for there 12 month plan as well as an adittional 500 mins with the 6800. I know it all sounds rediculuos but I never take a deal that aint good enough. My buttie was gonna give me his but I would have to get a battery so I'm gonna get Verizon down to just the phone with out all this contract renewing junk. Like I said you will be wanting to pull your hair out the first few calls, but after a few you will be laughing at how easy it is to get what you want outa these people.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

You know what. Reading some of the things on this thread, I'm f-n IRATE. I'm with sprint and ive had insurance for two years. I've gotten THREE broke-*** "refurbished" 6700's. The first had a broken, useless "joystick", the second dropped calls and wouldn't ring until the last ring, it was slow, and i couldn't get it activated to save my life. The third wouldn't sync-up and did the same thing with the ringer. This is also the phone I'm currently using. I want to try to fuss sprint out, get a month free (from all the bullsh$% i have to deal with to use the phone), and then call asuron *sp and bitc^ until i get a 6800. I am seriously ready to throw this phone against a wall and get a nokia

Don't waste time with Asuron. They usally have worse people than the carrier. I just get Verizon to throw out free phones.

the only time you should ever deal with asurion is if you loose or abuse the phone. if it's simply a refurb or assembly issue, walk it into a (corp/repair) store... $4 of your $7 TEP is for sprint's repair/replace. even if they don't have a "comparable" phone in stock, have the store order it.

also, a little tip for ya.... don't swear, whine, or tell them how long you've been a customer, bla bla bla, they can see your entire history when they pull up the account.. keep it simple and polite.
