Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Like I said in your other post PDAPhoneJunkie, VZW didnt want to give me a 6800 but Asurion did and it was BNIB. I didnt buy my 67 from VZW but rather on ebay. I have a name and number for someone in VZW Corp if you want it. PM me if you wanna try that route.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Also, you really will need to get rough with VZW if you, 1. don't have insurance and are out of warrenty. 2. don't have a data plan. 3. didn't purchase device from them.

I told them that we've been a customer for about 8 years and this is what I get? I told them I appreciate their curtisy in replacing a device I didn't buy from them but that it doesn't change the fact I don't have a working device when I need it. I said I will leave to AT&T since my contract has only two weeks left it I don't get one. So the old lady put me on hold and talked to device equitment manager and she said since they have replaced them so many times they will do a multi replacment. I got my past due paid and called back only to fight with another old southern lady. Hung up on her and called back. Got a nice young lady and she ordered it and didn't have a manager approve or maybe she was one. Got my e-mail saying it's coming over night. Didn't renew, or pay tax, or any other fee.

Don't give up you guys! Like shadow-tech said, you WILL get it. Their job IS to make the customer happy. So keep getting them and finally they will say , You Win. And they'll give it to you.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Out of all my efforts to get a 6800 it seems that I have failed... lol. So far I have had Asurion (I have Sprint btw with TPE or whichever it is) send me 1 replacement 6700 cause they couldnt "upgrade" me. I called back and complained since the replacement had low volume on the ear piece like the rest and the touch screen you had to smash with your finger to get working. So They said they would swap me with a Treo 700wx. At that point I just wanted a working phone so I said sure. Now the 700wx is defective, dropping its signal and then acquiring it again. So i called them back.. didn't hassle them to much maybe 20seconds worth (being polite of course) and she said she could just give me the 6800 but they are out of stock (son of a...) so she said the next thing is the Treo 800w. I guess at this point I don't care. I want a phone with higher ear piece volume and if the 800w works then great, if not I'm selling it on ebay for maybe $200 if possible and buying a new phone. Maybe the Treo Pro when it comes to sprint, I kinda like the small keyboard the Treo's have and it looks sexy? LOL

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

I got a new 6800 from the local Sprint corp repair center after first getting a refurb with bad keys on the kbd. No better than the 6700 it replaced in my opinion and many hours of work to install ROM, apps, move data, etc., but I didn't want to keep playing musical chairs with the many worn out 6700 refurbs out there.

It's too late now, but knowing what I know now, if I could have gotten a new 6700 I'd definitely have stuck with that (running WM 6.1 courtesy of PPCKitchen.org).

Hey Titan-GO GATORS!- thinking of the 800 VS the HTC well the HTC will go to sites that the 800 will not. But my 800 goes w/me every where & my Mogul stays in the case until it's needed.
