Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Damn i just got my 6700 replaced, if I wouldve have known I wouldve freaked out for a 6800. I feel lucky i got a 6700 tho, It was heavily modified and Oviously the warranty had been voided

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

If I don't get this thing working perfectly in the near future, I'm going to upgrade to a Treo800.
I don't think I can wait for the Diamond or Pro and I don't want a Mogul.

I've gone through 3 6700's. Each time they just sent a refurb'd. Sucks.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

A buddy of mine went to a local 3rd party this week Wednesday when he was having problems with his 6700. They didn't have any at the time, so they gave him a new Mogul. I've been having problems with my 6700 for a while. When he told me this, I went to the same place the next day - yesterday. I was almost expecting to get a mogul if they had any. But no, I was in luck yesterday. The guy there told me "you're lucky, we just got these in". He went to the back and got me a brand new refurbished 6700. HAA HAA just my luck!!!

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Play it hard. Tell them that if they can't give you a new working 6800 that you will move to AT&T and buy the iPhone. I did that and also told them that a phone is a vital part of me and I'm not some kid sitting around the house just texting all day. They offered me a refurb 6800 or brand new in box if I renew for another two years.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

my replacement 6700's touch screen started acting up and the battery said very low with a fully charged extended battery. i called verizon and told them that i would not take another 6700 because they kept breaking. they're overnighting me a 6800...although they didn't say if it was brand new or refurb, either way 6800 is great. it was used as my upgrade, but there was no charge

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

I've been through 5 6700s since I got the first one over 2 years ago, and the last two where from asurion in less than a month! The headset jack malfunctioned on the first two, the third tipped over while in the cradle and broke the usb jack, the cell chip in the forth mysteriously went MIA one day after the battery died, and the last POS refurb replacement f*** up within 6 hours! Luckily this time they offered a 6800 upfront, because I was going to demand a newer model anyway. I've been wanting one because I've always hated that nub and the stubby antenna on the 6700, but now I guess I have to get a microSD card.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Yea im on my 6th or 7th 6700 in the past 4 months and this last one they sent me is almost perfect, except for the camera flash if f'ed up. I have to physically push on it or tap it to get it to come on. I am trying to save it until the touch pro comes out to see if I can use it for leverage on getting that.
