I want to try to fuss sprint out, get a month free (from all the bullsh$% i have to deal with to use the phone), and then call asuron *sp and bitc^ until i get a 6800. I am seriously ready to throw this phone against a wall and get a nokia
Don't waste time with Asuron. They usally have worse people than the carrier. I just get Verizon to throw out free phones.

the only time you should ever deal with asurion is if you loose or abuse the phone. if it's simply a refurb or assembly issue, walk it into a (corp/repair) store... $4 of your $7 TEP is for sprint's repair/replace. even if they don't have a "comparable" phone in stock, have the store order it.

also, a little tip for ya.... don't swear, whine, or tell them how long you've been a customer, bla bla bla, they can see your entire history when they pull up the account.. keep it simple and polite.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

Thanks guys/gals for posting this !!!!

I was on my 3rd phone and all of a sudden it stops reading flash cards. No matter how they were formated, would not read them. Then I read this.

So I call customer service, the nice lady I talked to said, "I can give you the same phone but, if I was you, I would try your local store"

Wanted to add some more detail here. So when I went into the verizon store to the tech support desk, he looks up my account, told me to wait "I have to get a manager involved" and came out. He didn't even ask me what was wrong with the phone till he had the 6800 in his hand to swap out.

I just came back from the verizon store, with a brand new XV6800 !

Thank you again !

BTW: this was all done through verizon, as there was no damage to the phone, just stopped working correctly

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

I'm thinking about doing this. My 6700 is ok, but its getting old and very slow. However, I'm using vista and the mobile device center is horrible so I am a little concerned about it working as far as swapping all my info over. I can't even tell that its actually synced to the computer since it doesnt update in windows calendar or contacts and it doesnt work 90% of the time.

Anyway, should I just say my phone is missing or something? I have insurance on my line.

get a mail2web.com email account... It is free... Sync all your stuff to it...

Then you can sync your info to the new phone no matter where you are because you do not have to be connected to the computer to do it.
