FWIW, I use the HTC Home plugin (and .08 customizer) and have had zero alarm or wake-up issues.

What a steamer this one is.
Yeah mine is 100% stock as well. The HTC Home comes bundled with the Sprint Touch. I've just found for my particular situation, disabling it has cleared my "wake up" issues. Its now been 1 week with zero soft resets. I was averaging about 1 reset a day.

I dont know why people keep emphasing that this only happens when the battery is at 30%. I dont think a particular variable has been narrowed down.

Stock VS 3pApps
Battery level
On charger VS Not on Charger

etc...etc...

Just curious: Is anyone having this problem on a network OTHER THAN Sprint?

Well, add me to lthe list. Phone went to SLEEP mode three times yesterday an would not come out when applying the button. Had to do three soft resets. Very frustrating.

It the beginning I thought that the battery level had nothing to do with the problem, but last it happened to me the battery level was exactly at 30%.

Hi ala. These are not the eaxct words, but someone posted in one of these threads, maybe even be this one, that they (the poster) contacted HTC and was told by HTC that the phone freezing/locking up at 30% was an intentional move by HTC to conserve the battery when it was low.

I think it's horrible that freezing or locking up a phone to make it useless without soft resetting is a ridiculous business decision. If what HTC said is true, I hope the *cough* genius who came up with this idea has whatever HTC device he/she uses suffer from the same crap we have to go thru.

The main reason I wanted the Touch was due to all the problems I experienced with the Mogul.

I am starting to think that the problems we are having is not the phone, per se, but HTC making faulty devices. I mean, think of it, first the Mogul, now this phone; both made by HTC and both having the same problem.

The Touch is the LAST HTC phone I will ever own.

Don't make that mistake. HTC is one of the biggest manufacturers of mobile devices worldwide, and that is because in general they make wonderful products. I have seen there stuff and used it for other networks and no issues. Now I have had the mogul with Sprint and the touch as well. I have missed a couple of texts with my touch, but that is it, but my mogul was a whole other issue. I honestly do not blame HTC though. These devices are amazing on other networks, just not Sprint. I blame Sprint and their crappy proprietary stuff that they put into these devices.
