I think it's horrible that freezing or locking up a phone to make it useless without soft resetting is a ridiculous business decision. If what HTC said is true, I hope the *cough* genius who came up with this idea has whatever HTC device he/she uses suffer from the same crap we have to go thru.

The main reason I wanted the Touch was due to all the problems I experienced with the Mogul.

I am starting to think that the problems we are having is not the phone, per se, but HTC making faulty devices. I mean, think of it, first the Mogul, now this phone; both made by HTC and both having the same problem.

The Touch is the LAST HTC phone I will ever own.
Don't make that mistake. HTC is one of the biggest manufacturers of mobile devices worldwide, and that is because in general they make wonderful products. I have seen there stuff and used it for other networks and no issues. Now I have had the mogul with Sprint and the touch as well. I have missed a couple of texts with my touch, but that is it, but my mogul was a whole other issue. I honestly do not blame HTC though. These devices are amazing on other networks, just not Sprint. I blame Sprint and their crappy proprietary stuff that they put into these devices.

I miss calls at 20% or less, but the phone doesn't lock-up. I'm able to wake the phone with the power button, and see all of my missed calls, VMs, SMS, alarms, etc. It's odd to me that it will actually receive the call (shows up as missed), but not wake the phone up to ring or vibrate.

This is exactly what we are saying in this thread "the phone not waking up", we are not talking about lock-ups, thats a whole different issue...

Yeah, I can't say that I disagree with you there. I too have been getting frustrated with this. I am just wondering why the HTC/Sprint combo has had so many problems. Why does it work with other carriers and not Sprint? Anyways, I really do love this phone. I have just had to make a habit out of checking the phone every now and then to make sure I did not miss calls or texts. Luckily I have not missed too may of either thus far. But I definitely feel everyone's pain. I wish we could find a fix for this...OR hopefully the fix in January will address this issue.

Hi ScandaLex

I love this phone, I really do and I get really angry when I missed a call, specially an important one. But what bothers me the most is the lack of info on this problem.

It is in this thread that emarketing... posted that he contacted HTC and they told him that the "issue" is a "feature" when bat level gos below 30%. I think thats bull****. It doesn't make any sense specially when a lot of people are posting that the "issue" is happening to them no matter the level of the battery.

There has to be somebody out there that knows how to fix this! How does the phone wakes up when a call is received? Why is time on the clock updated as soon as you turn the power button? I read something about the term "push" but I really don't know anything about it.

something you all might want to try is to not use the Automatic profile under the Profiles on the HTC Home plugin. What i mean is under the Profiles you have Normal, Silent, Vibrate, and Automatic. I was playing with phone to see what Automatic does and left it there. Well 1 hr later my phone woke up to 1 phone call and 3 texts coming in at the same time. It looks like it was the Automatic setting because when I switched it back to Normal (for the ringer) or Vibrate, my texts and calls woke up my phone fine.

Just something to try.

Interesting. The auto setting as I understand it is to prevent firing of alerts, etc. while a meeting, etc. is in progress. Might it be that this is working exactly as intended--with alerts following the end of a meeting, task, etc.?

Yeah, me to. I have never used the "automatic setting". I am wondering if using one of the other HTC home plugins other than the one that came with the touch would work better. Like using the six tab version or something of the sort. Are all you guys using the one that came with the phone or another modified version?

I am using the stock version with the four tabs, but I have modified some of the buttons and the clock settings with the HHC customizer.
