It installs a modified bootloader ROM - not the same as radio/os/extedned ROM

#4- run the sprint leaked rom.exe (here, close to the bottom where it says "original rom")
#5- allow all customizations to complete and run (i know - it takes a lil while)
#6- allow reboot, then navigate to \windows and run ppst.exe
#7- allow reboot, then check device information in settings to ensure a ~2.03 pri and ~60612/60610 prl.
#8- flash to desired rom.
#9- after she's all booted up, hard-reset.
Hard reset generally not required, but you should do it right after flashing and before booting, not after.

Please keep in mind that if you're not SPRINT, you DO NOT want Sprint customizations to run.

thanks, i agree with everything you said. and i apologize for not updating my list. i have posted it about 3-4 times now and it is hard to remember where/when...i think ill soon just be deleting all of them and sticking a link in place instead, pointing to my flashing how to thread modified for gps.

but i have now edited it to reflect more accurate info as my other posts concerning that do.

however, about the hard-resetting...i recognize (as i think most all of us do) that it is not required, however i have seen it mentioned a number of times as good practice. it seems crazy to me that a flash woulndn't whipe out something that a hard reset might but...whatever
so basically my question is: what is the deal with hard resetting after flashing, and why would you recommend the timing you do?

thanks.

Sorry for a totally noob question. I'm in search of the Sprint 3.37.15 Radio ROM.. Is the file in the link I've just quoted above the correct one? If not, could somebody please point me to the correct thread/link where I can access the 3.37.15 version of the Sprint Radio ROM.
Thanks.

Well, in order to know if it works better, we'd have to know what kinds of problems (specifically) you were experiencing with BT.

In my case, my primary concern is the volume of announcements and confirmations. Announcements work and so do confirmations (and my confirmation replies are understood) but the volume of confirmations and announcements is barely audible. Once a call is established, I can hear the caller clearly and the caller is generally able to hear me clearly. It is only the announcement and confirmation volume (of Michelle) that is problematic for me.

This is with my touch, Radio 3.37.15 (Sprint leak) and MSVC 1.6.19213 as built from the Touch 3.02 (GPS) PPCKitchen.

Re: Vogue GPS 3.02 Kitchen (w/ NEW Sprint Leaked ROM)

Hi there,

I built my ROM (just the leaked ROM with GPS apps and a few more input methods) and got an error when run PPST.exe: backup efs failed. Then I didn't see the message saying NVItem (spelling?) updated.

what does this mean? I don't know if my GPS functionality is affected.

With the leaked ROM and OMJ ROM (with a PPST installed from a cab) it was alright.

Now I installed that PPST cab again and it runs well.
What option could cause this?

Thanks,

Re: Vogue GPS 3.02 Kitchen (w/ NEW Sprint Leaked ROM)

Another issue I found with Sprint Touch is that the IM button on the TrueFlo UI doesn't work. What could be missing? I didn't see MSN Messenger or Yahoo!Messenger in the kitchen config list. Where can I install separately?

TIA.

Re: Vogue GPS 3.02 Kitchen (w/ NEW Sprint Leaked ROM)

Cannot get a gps lock. Im using a sprint touch converted to vzw. The sprint PRI (1.33_003) is still on there as I don't have a vzw one for it. Everything else is fully working data, voice, shows rev A at the network switch. I installed patched quick gps also. Using google maps or gps viewer it sits there searching for satellites and I have sat outdoors for 30 min with no fix. I have done the reg edit to mode 4 also but it seems to never get an agps either and yes location is on and I have power cycled the radio as well. A spare mogul I converted to vzw (still has sprint pri too) will gps and agps lock within 2 minutes in the same location but the touch will not.

Has anyone tried the original leaked ROM link in the first post? I keep getting an error when trying to open the file that the archive header is invalid.
