Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
My wife's TP is falling apart and she's interested in upgrading to the TP2. She called Assurion and they said they are still swapping TPs for TPs. She said that the automated message said that you can upgrade, though - is that how you're getting a TP2? If so, what is the price for the upgrade? Thanks in advance.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
What most of us are doing is when we have a problem with our phone that is not Physical damage is call sprint. tell them our issue and have the advance exchange them. some of us are lucky enough that when we call the warehouse has tp2's in stock and will swap them out for you they might also offer you other phones. I could not do that becase i have had 3 Advanced exchanges in the last year so i had to go to the store. they have to verify the problem and make sure you are not just complaining trying to get a new phone. Then they do the same thing they do over the phone and say would you be interested in a different model because i was on my 4th TP. She said that she could get me a TP2 so i said sure. mine is a referb but it only had made 6 calls and 4 minutes of talk time so i am not complaining. So if you are under 1 year warranty still or have the TEP like i do you can do this for free. sounds like you have tep if you talked to assurion. they are good if you want to spend 100 to get a new phone that is usually nib not a referb but i guess they have some TP's again. Also this does not extened your contract or anything so it is nice to get a new phone but have your old contract. my contract is from my vogue i got in 07 i have not changed it since and they have moved me twice now to the new model lol. Went to a local Sprint Store yesterday, as my TP is having battery issues, running hot, front buttons not responding. They've got a phone on order for me that should be in tomorrow (please not another TP, please not another TP) ...and now today my touch screen is completely unresponsive. Nothing functions. *sigh* At least I managed to get back on the OEM rom before all of this happened. So, hopefully in 24hrs or so, I'll let everyone know what my new phone is. |

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
They offered me the TP2, but now I see I hate the keyboard, they said they would offer me one of equal value, what should I get that's similar but not an annoying keyboard, or better?

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
This kinda reminds me of how I felt when my Samsung R410 broke and Metro tried to have me upgrade to the Samsung Messenger... It's weird, cuz like, you would think having the buttons spaced further apart would be a good thing, but when I tried to get the hang of the Messenger keyboard, I found I just couldn't deal with it! Same dealio here, with the close keys/spaced-keys thing.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Just spoke with customer care this afternoon. Went to copr Sprint store earlier in the afternoon for numerous problems with my phone. Sat in the Sprint store two hours with nothing happening with my phone, watched it sit in the incoming phone box for thirty mins and then in the out going phone box for thirty mins as well. Called CS with the frustration that I experienced from this store which happen constantly at this location. Was given the run around for over two hours and was told by a supervisor that I needed to pay the $100 deductible for a new phone or go back to the corp store to get a replacement. I'm at wits end with dealing with Sprint with this phone and the constant hassle it has been dealing with this phone.
