Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
I called Asurion about the 6th TP I've received from them that lost keyboard functionality, and they offered a BNIB TP2 as a replacement. The good news is that this seemed painless AFTER talking to the "supervisor," who then transferred me to the "manager." The bad news is that they had 2 in stock and oh yeah, I went through 6 freakin' Touch Pros.
Hope it's not one of those TP2's that look like a Touch Pro that I've been hearing about lol PS- THANKS TO ALL THOSE FILING FRAUDULENT CLAIMS, THEY REQUIRE PEOPLE TO TAKE THEIR PHONE TO SPRINT FOR INSPECTION AFTER SO MANY REPLACEMENTS. Yay, I love waiting 45 mins in line :/ |

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Hey guys, just wanted to chime in..... My usb was acting crazy so I decided to take it in to one of the corporate stores here in Tampa. I talked the lady and explained what was happening and she stated that if there was something wrong with my USB port then they would have to order me a replacement phone and it would be in early next week. I said ok and went to get my car worked on. When I came back to pick up my phone, the tech said "here's your phone" and handed me a new TP2. He said Merry Christmas and I said thank you and quickly left before they changed their minds.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Yes correct the rep put in an e-ticket. He stated that all he had on the list were the BB's, a Treo & Snap on his computer. But said it maybe different in store and req that I get the TP2 (as I have with the 1st line on my account in which I Paid for) If they have them in stock. Directed me to a Corp store in my area told not to go to a 3rd party store. And that was it. But please keep in mind I've had numerous replacements on all lines since day one, In which he verified as well as the store I went to. There seems to be alot of people just getting Touch Pro's wanting to get a free upgrade or putting in Bogus claims stating the phone is not working and such when there is no real issue. And it messes everything up for people with real problems. That's why Asurion raised their deductible from 50 to 100.00 on these phones.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Well...
I had my success yesterday. One TP with verified issues.. Replaced for a refurb TP. Upon talking with the rep at the corp store, she told me to email the manager and he will see what he can do. Two or three emails later he tells me that my TP2 will be in on Friday... Not wanting to kick a gift horse in the mouth, I did not ask if it was new or refurb. Yesterday, I go into the store and they bring out my NIB Tp2.. Great new phone and just in time.. My refurb TP was starting to lock up and drop calls. Patience and courtesy worked for me... |

Exactly. I've had 3 TP's replaced (2 for keyboards, and 1 other for VERIFIED continual software issues that hard reset did not solve) and have to take in my 4th for severe overheating. As many have stated earlier, that is exactly why Asurion raised their "deductible", hoping to weed out the frauds who had no problem tossing them $50 for an illegitimate claim. I would like a TP2, but with my last replacement would have been just as happy with a NIB TP. But it's people who abuse the system ( ) that make it hard for those with REAL problems.
