Re: Sprint replacing for TP2
I want Sprint to replace my TP 2 with a TP 3 because my tilt mechanism has 3 mm of play. My wife's TP 2 only has 1 mm of play. This is completely unacceptable. I've been a customer 10 years. I want a free upgrade!
I think you can detect my sarcasm. I owned 2 TP's & have since bought replacement TP 2's. I take offense to people who seem to think they are entitled to get a considerably upgraded phone because of issues they have experienced. Personally I would offer you another brand of device. It's apparent HTC is not living up to your standards. we can replace it with a similar device made by a different company...

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2
I think we can all agree, even though it may be bad for sprint business wise, that TPs will eventually be replaced with TP2s. Just a matter of time.
Here's how the path that I took to get to where I am now. First phone: Treo 700. I broke the Screen. Filed a claim through TEP. Second Phone: Asurion replaced Treo 700 with Treo 755. Woke up one morning to the bootloader screen and the phone being completely unresponsive (this was before I started customizing or flashing or anything.) Took it to the Sprint store and they were out of Treo 755s completely. Third phone: The sprint store told me I could pick out any phone in the store as a replacement because they were completely out of Treo 755s. So without knowing anything about Windows Mobile or the phone, I chose the Mogul. So year and a half or so later, I break the screen on my Mogul. Fourth phone: Asurion replaced my Mogul with a Touch Pro. I am now on my 4th Touch Pro all because of dead keyboards. Treo 700-->Treo 755-->Mogul-->Touch Pro. |

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2
I read 4 of 7 pages of this thread but now I'm going to ask my question.
Lots of people talking about cheaper upgrades because of issues, and being told no, that's one thing... But how many TPs do you think Spint has in stock? Sooner or later filing an Asurion claim will lead to a TP2 because they won't have any more TPs. Before I moved to PPCs I did this 3 or 4 phones in a row with my Sanyo flip phones. It breaks but I file it lost/stolen ( because I don't want to wait for them to fix it or tell me they can't fix it) and then a few days later in the mail I receive the latest version of that phone. Doesn't mean it'll happen every time but it might... eventually. |
