Re: Replacement Woes
Took my Calc exam... didn't finish the last 3 problems (but I had 6 pts extra credit, so it should balance out). At least there were about 50 problems
Anywho, no call from the Sprint supervisor yet. Question: If I am in contract, who owns my phone? They said they sent a notice that the contract was being renewed... Both my dad and I can confirm that we received no such notice. If THEY agree to cancel my contract, can they ask for my phone back even though I purchased it under the false information that I would not be renewing my contract? If the letter was not sent via registered mail and no one signed for it, it's not valid because they are saying my silence is acceptance of the new contract. Even if they play the "implied contract" game, there was no written portion nor a written confirmation on the terms of the contract, therefore the parole evidence rule doesn't apply. The statements they made to make me pay for the phone were misleading, as I was not told I would be entering into another service contract. Lets not mention that technically I'm not even authorized to make changes on the account. I only have the same last name. I'll post more updates as they come...

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2
Dont count on it. I went through my 10th phone in 3 months. They are willing to give me any phone for free except for the TP2. They will knock off $50 so I can get it for $500 HA. The rep advised that they cant do anything until it is available in stores nationwide. So you want to wait until then.

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2
They WILL start giving TP2's in exchange for defective TP's once they run out of new and refurb TP's. Just be patient. It will probably won't be until a few months after they stop selling the TP on their website.

Re: Sprint replacing for TP2
Quote:
I have had my TP since about a month after it released, I upgraded to it, paid the price, and have had it ever since. It still looks like a brand new phone. I have had my keyboard replaced 3 times, but never had the whole phone replaced for a silly keyboard replacement which is 8 screws and detaching 2 ribbons, I have timed how long it takes, literally less than 2 mins to fix the phone rather than replacing it. My point is that why waste a device if you can fix it? It's that simple. Most people don't think things through and give Sprint the bad wrap, rather than HTC for the hardware failures the TP has had. But what about those Mogul users trying to get a free upgrade to the TP?! Remember that mess??? The Mogul had hardware issues too, the talk key not working, the keyboard sticking which is similar to the TP, the wifi switch breaking, etc. If you want to complain about this series of phones, then move to something else. Don't expect Sprint to give you free upgrades all the time. A TON of people with Mogul's suddenly had little issue with their phones when the TP came out. Simple issues that were resolved but they kept complaining, even if their really wasn't anything wrong with their Mogul in the first place, just so they could get a free TP. Then it turned to filing claims through Asurion for the $50 ded. to get a TP. Once that well ran dry, what happened?! Asurion upped their ded. to $100 for PDA's. Now everyone has to pay more, all because people wanted free upgrades. My final thoughts on this subject, as I've taken up to much time and space for everyone reading this thread: Those cheapskates hoping to get free phones by complaining about their devices need to drop it and pay the price like everyone else. Because of these people, ded. for filing claims through Asurion has gone up, the trust of the Sprint technicians has declined as they all think that these mysterious problems with TP's all coming in when the TP2 releases are just wanting a TP2, and if it's legit and their is no other alternative but to go to a TP2, then so be it, but don't abuse it. If you can't pay for it like other hard workers in today's economy, then you don't need it. Sorry if I offended anyone with my postings, but when you see people that work less than you, get free passes for things you work hard to pay for, it really sucks... |
