I had second thoughts about that yesterday also couldn't decide if i should look for tape or not lol to bad i already mailed it, should have taped it up oh well. At least I have the tracking number in the system, its usps responsibility now if its lost or stolen. Im curious did you guys bother to write the tracking # down for reference and check it after to see if they receive it? I did!

By the way, the USPS does not allow you to ship flammable materials, including lithium batteries. It was a big sign posted at my post office today.

So if Sprint gives you any crap (or me!), tell them you did not want to break the rules of the USPS!

I used to work at a UPS store, it's just as easy to say you were shipping it from a UPS store and they didn't allow flammable materials unless it was specially marked (and charged) as such because that is really what we were supposed to do.

It's not an excuse, it's you being a good citizen and following USPS rules. You did the right thing to not ship the battery.

Don't break the rules for Sprint! Keep the battery .

Isn't it against some federal law(s) to break the USPS shipping rules?

I am pretty sure it is. Then again its a lie to say that I did because of that rule :P. I wanted the extra battery, but its an excuse

Hah well my return label had a UPS sticker, instead of USPS - which I was pretty surprised about.

So it works for either method of shipping, since DHL is defunct now and no one ever used FedEx anyway

Well I always do my swaps in the store anyway, but if I ever have to mail one, I'm not sending the battery because I don't want to spend time in the federal pen . Doing in store swaps, everybody sees what is being done right there face to face. So if they've got a problem with my actions they can say right then and there. Last swap, the tech didn't ask me for a battery and I didn't bother complaining that he didn't give me the box and other accessories, he gave me the brand new device with a stylus and battery and that was all I wanted. Obviously all he wanted was the defective device with a back battery cover, because he had it all in the back long enough to open my old device and get enough details to swap my account information to the new device.
