Cool Re: Sprint replaced my Touch Pro with a new retail Touch Pro, what do I send back?

Hey Bro,

You can send back just the phone or everything, its up to you.. you will not get charged for the items you stay with. I am a Sprint Mgr for Sales & Repair corporate store and I have sent phones back without the extra items and had no issues with the warehouse. Hope this helps, just do the right thing.

God Bless

What do you think about not returning the battery cover? I've heard it said more than once that Asurion replacements often don't come with a battery cover and it's best to keep the old one because of that. Do refab replacements from Sprint usually come with a battery cover?

Re: Sprint replaced my Touch Pro with a new retail Touch Pro, what do I send back?

hey,

They are only interested in the phone, the battery, and the battery cover (part of the PHONE).

The rest is a bonus! If you read your included card, it says to return the phone, and battery.

Later,

Matt!

I have spoken to a few people here on PPCGeeks, and some others too.

Everyone is giving me conflicting information. I contacted Sprint, and they also gave me conflicting information.

Most people on PPCGeeks told me to ONLY send back the Phone and battery cover, and to keep EVERYTHING else, including the 1gb memory card, the charger, the battery, the stylus, etc.

Most people on another forum told me to send back the Phone, the battery cover, the battery itself, and one stylus.

I just called Sprint, and they told me to send back everything, all accessories. I explained that the envelope is too small, so they put a notation on my account and told me to send back:

The phone and anything that fits into it, so the stylus, battery, battery cover, and I'm not sure about the data card.

They told me that if they need anything else and I get charged, the notation on my account will absolve me of any issues, and to hold on to the accessories in case I am contacted for them.

So with quite a few people here having experience with Sprint, maybe someone hear can give me a better picture?

I'd love to have the extra battery, and the extra stylus, but I don't want a headache with Sprint later. Should I stay safe and mail back the phone, cover, data card, stylus and battery, and my account note would keep me safe on the other accessories... or what?
Sprint has no TP for exchange in stock so you should be getting new ones

Re: Sprint replaced my Touch Pro with a new retail Touch Pro, what do I send back?

When I had my TP replaced through Sprint (NOT ASURION) because the hardware keyboard stopped working, I only sent back the phone, nothing else.

I kept the box, battery, back cover, screen protector... literally everything except the phone itself.

It has been over a month or so now and I haven't seen any extra charge on it. If you're really worried, ksemt7781 here on the forums has access to stuff. I sent him a PM a while back, this is what I got in return:

Oh wow, thats great. I will probably buy one black cover, thanks for this.

I also opened the envelope before sending off the TP, and removed the battery, so many people are telling me that that is fine, so I will risk it.

So just sent off the phone, the back cover (don't need an extra), and the old carrying case (have my own case).
