a tsk is AKA a THEME for Win5/6x If you go to settings/home the first page will display a list of all themes (the files have the extention .tsk in the filesystem) What you need to do is select one then check use this background and the theme changes. the tsk defines the colors of the taskbars, Windows and buttons that show on them. IT also defines the background of the today screen. If you want to fix the smearing in 6.5.x make sure to install a theme made for 6.5.x! The smearing happens with older tsk files that are not 6.5 aware |

Re: 6/8/09 FIRMWARE UPDATE: Verizon GPS Unlocked
Having broken the mythical htc3600 I bought my HTC Touch Pro (Raphael)
Problem with the delay of the 3600 position using iGO8 (ver 8.3.2.97313) and the tomtom was acceptable, while the raphael and 'an impossibility + / - 50mt. rom 5.05.408.1 radio 1.11.25.01 Tried to install htc pach nothing tried to A. With Advanced config 3.2 http://www.touchxperience.com/fr/out...ol-32-cab.html 1. disable A-GPS 2. disable GPS logging 3. logfile name must be empty 4. old logfile name must be empty 5. maximum size of logfile must be 0 6 delete the files : \windows\GPSLogFile.txt and \windows\GPSLogFileBack.txt 7. it seems that if TomTom is installed on a fast microSD decrease the lag(have to test to be sure) With those changes car usage will be quite perfect B. Then edit registry with TotalCommander http://ghisler.fileburst.com/ce/tcmdpocketarm.cab Under: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\ - Drivers\GpsOneDevice\PollInterval -> 100 (default is 1000) - Drivers\InputBufferSize -> 512 (default is 4096) - Drivers\OutputBufferSize -> 512 (default is 4096) - Drivers\SleepOnNoData -> 100 (default is 1000) - Multiplexer\MaxBufferSize -> 512 (by default not present, you have to create it) Help mee.... |

Re: 6/8/09 FIRMWARE UPDATE: Verizon GPS Unlocked
I just did what the first post says. Now for some strange reason (maybe I skipped a step the first few times) it didn't work when I first tried it. But anyway what I did was
1. install PPST1.46.CAB 2. Run ppst.exe at \windows 3. Soft reset 4. install lllboredlll_VZW_GPS_Fix_v2.cab 5. Run ppst.exe at \windows again 6. Soft reset 7. Open up HTC GPS Tool. Set Chip to Q 7500 and mode to Cold Start then set baud to 4800 and open port. I did that, and opened google Maps and low and behold it worked! Good luck and hopefully it works for you. |

Re: 6/8/09 FIRMWARE UPDATE: Verizon GPS Unlocked
Ihave no problem with a donation, in fact if i knew someone in the houston area that could help me learn how to do this stuff I would pay them as well. I first problem is that I'm not sure how to get started.
I am on my personal pc, not my htc when viewing these lpost inks and attached files, so I'm guessing that I need to be on my htc so that the files and downloads go to my htc, right? seems obvious but I'm not computer savvy. thanks for you research, if you can point me to the basics of any read this first about changes, downloads, upgrading flash, etc to the htc where it goes through a more basic how-to it would be great. If it is just as simple as to use the htc when on this ppc webstie so the files go to the programs on my htc, then let me know. Mike |
