FYI . . . the unlock won't survive a hard reset (at least not on a Touch Diamond) but all I had to do (yesterday) was repeat the procedure and my world was once again bright. Speaking of hard resets, I keep reading of folks crying about losing their contacts. It surely was nice not to worry about my 3,000 contacts that activesync has saved in msoutlook.

So just to be clear, if I have a Sprint Touch Pro on VZW, updating this PRI will give me unlocked gps? Correct? Does that mean I won't have to constantly jump start my gps like I do now? I have the stock leaked rom that came with putting the SPT on Verizon.

Better check with llbored. He designed the program for Touch Pro and I'm using a Touch Diamond that I bought from verizon.

I don't know what you mean my jump start, but I do occasionally, but not often, have to uncheck and recheck "use gps" in my google maps menu.

If you have a sprint device your gps is already unlocked....

Yes, but will this allow me to update using official PRL's without a roaming icon? And perhaps making GPS instant. I feel like I am constantly running HTC GPS tool to kick start it.

I posted this in the general Touch Pro forum and got some responses, but I am reposting here, hopefully to get lllboredlll's input. I get "smearing" of the start menu screen on any custom ROM I try, only AFTER I install PPST2.01 to enable Verizon GPS. This has happened on multiple occasions. Any ideas??

Go to "menu", "options", "GPS settings" and select "Set Manually". See if setting the port to COM 4 at 4800 baud helps at all.

Does anybody know a place like "fnf-ecpupgrades.callsprint.com" but for verizon?
