Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
Hmm.. Someone mentioned this is moisture.. I am curious why it ends up being greasy and oily ( from another post who said they opened it up in front of him ). Also, is there a way to just open this up and clean it yourself?? I mean if its just moisture, I have no problem popping a piece of plastic off and wiping it down, so long as I am not doing it every month and dont end up wearing the thing out over time...

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
I've only had my phone 1 week & it developed this problem. It is a lot more noticeable when I 1st take it out of my pocket & then seems to quickly fade. I was thinking the heat/moisture in my pocket has something to do with it. Once the screen is on you can't really notice it unless looking at an angle & it quickly dimishes anyway, so unless it causes the screen to stop working after a while as some have reported, it's bearable. It is disappointing to see so many people having this defect in what is supposed to be Sprint's premier phone.

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
Yeah the fact that people stated it got worse and eventually the phone stopped working caused a me to not "tolerate" it at all. Its not worth the risk of needing to spend money on a repair when I could have a new one no problem. Now if this was a known issue and could easily be fixed by popping open the phone, and wiping away any moisture, I would be ok with it. It would be tedious and I would complain, but I wouldnt need a new phone. Now cleary if there is moisture between the screen, if it freezes, well water expands... thatll do damage to the screen so I hope you dont carry your phone around in below freezing temp. Also if it continues to build you will essentially have water floating around on your screen. Doesnt sound good to me.. Also moisture should also dry up, if indeed that is what it is. If it can get in, it should be able to get out. Anyway, My new one will be here soon, so hopefully it doesnt happen again...

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
So are the gold/greenish tint touchscreens more prone to moisture then the black tint touchscreen?
I ask because I work close to the gulf in S. Tx and we had alot of moisture my personal TP that I got in OCT has a Black touchscreen tint look and has never had a problem with moisture oilslick/rainbow effect. The work TP that I got about 2weeks ago got the rainbow/oilslick within 2 weeks and has the gold/greenish tint touchscreen.

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
I have this on my screen too. I thought it was just a smudge from my fingers or my face or something. It looks like a weird oil/water transparent black hole space anomaly. I also notice it changes in size and location if I even apply the light pressure needed for the screen to register.

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
I'm just going to live with it for now. I think I'll drop by a couple local Sprint stores and see if I can get them to exchange it for another NIB unit. If not, I'll wait til it gets worse or til I "lose or break" the phone and get another one. I should do that before April....
