Re: 1% battery left ...
14 hours. Not bad. It has been almost 7 hours and I am at 70% but I only sent a couple text messages and surfed the web a little. Earlier today I killed the battery in 6 hours from using navigation and surfing the web for a hour.

Re: Your HTC Pro Charge Time Is???
It all depends on what they were designed to do, first check the output rating. If they are rated at less than 1A output (which is what the OEM charger is rated for), then the charging time will be more right out of the gate.
In addition, if the power to the TP is supplied by a non data usb port (i.e. ac-usb adapter/charger), the TP defaults to draw maximum current, and will draw up to 900 mA of charging current. If you try and draw 900 mA from most 500 mA chargers (which is most of them on the market) they will work for a while, then shut down (ususally thermal protection) which does not reset until you cycle the power to them. So the chargers may not actually be junk, just not designed to do the job you are using them for.... |

Re: 1% battery left ...
I'm not sure what is up with the battery meter, I took my first TP back because battery would only last 3-4 hours... Replacement was great lasting 10 hours before reaching ~20%. Now all of a sudden I'm draining about 20% an hour again. Double checked that wifi/bluetooth are off and dataconnection is closing. I haven't run it till dead yet so maybe its the meter thats off unlike my last one.

Re: Update: TP heats up, then battery drains, even while on charger.

I've noticed all of the behaviors, and here is what I think is going on: 1) When on the charger with the phone operating, I have loged for several days that the Battery temp drops (obviously using the charger power to run the phone and drawing none from the battery, but charging the battery. 2) Phone on speaker phone. I have only noted that low a current draw from the battery when in a very high signal region with the screen dimmed. with the screen on about 600 mA. 3) The WinMo power manager apparently uses the measured battery voltage to determine the battery level (still looking for the algorithm) So when you are on the charger the voltage is high (about 4.1V) when you pull it off with a low battery, the voltage will drop to 3.9 - 3.7V depending on the charge in the battery and current being drawn from the battery. The power manager then quickly adjusts the estimated battery life remaining.... 4) 50 -60 ma is about what mine is running in the D2 standby mode. When it drops to the D3 sleep mode, it drops to about 13 -15 mA. I'd be really interested in seeing a log from someones phone when their unit quits charging while in use. That would really point out if it is Battery temp or processor temp that is shutting down the charging... |

Re: 1% battery left ...
Anyone have an issue of turning the phone off fully, only to turn it on and find the battery life has still decreased despite being off?

Re: Update: TP heats up, then battery drains, even while on charger.
FWIW, when I had the phone and used a very intense process (WMWifirouter), I noticed the same behavior the OP reported. I would remove the battery cover and place the phone face-down to help it stay cool and this seemed to help.

Re: 1% battery left ...
I am starting to think the batetery indicator and windows do not get along. Becasue if I take it off the charger it shows 4% already gone. Then when I was down to 1% that lasted almost 30 minutes. On my mogul 1% lasted a good 5 minutes
