Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

For the guys using the battery meter mods (percent meter etc), when you take it off the charger does it almost instantly drop down to 94, 93% ? Mine has never stayed at 100-96% after a full charge.

If you are using the Nuepower driver for this it is a known issue. To quote the post: "It will improve the precision of the battery meter, but not the accuracy. Especially in the 90-100% range."

Even with my 3000 mAh batter it drops down to 95 or 96% after just a few minutes.

I see where you are going with your comments, but it's really hard to justify a comment like, "hands down better than the Iphone."

If the iPhone had WM on it, or was at least compatible with WM applications, I bet most of us wouldn't be using HTC products...

Hell, I would bet that if someone hacked the iPhone into running WM, about 25% of people in here would switch instantly. Huge battery, big screen, compatible with thousands of docks/media players/car stereos/etc...

... and this is coming from someone who absolutely despisesApple, and all their business practices. I just don't think the Pro, or Diamond, or any phone really, is "hands down," better than the iPhone.

Even the Pre is not hands-down better, because it won't have the same large user base/app store... It will get there eventually, but it will take time.
I don't own an iPhone myself but I have an iTouch 2G which is basically the same. The only thing I use the iTouch is to browse the Internet and listen to music.

You said it yourself " app store" meaning that you have to pay for absolutely everything, while us get stuff for free and the iPhone 3G has just been jailbroken to have free apps but imagine how long they had to wait to get it to work and how long is it going to take to get it right.

A bigger screen doesn't mean anything and the iPhone isn't really that much what people think it is. After having it for a couple of weeks the whole "oh this phone rocks my sucks" will be gone. Your right maybe a good percentage of the people will leave HTC if apple had WM but they don't so it won't happen.

I hope you understand that yes the HTC touch Pro isn't the best device but it's not bad at all and in my opinion is way better than the iPhone.

Sigh. Correcting misconception again

App Store is a DEPLOYMENT CHANNEL that ALSO can be used for Payment. Its linked to iTunes.

So, you can indeed download about 1500 FREE apps from the App Store.

And if you want to go crazy, you can spend anywhere from $.99 to $9.99 on apps too.

TV is a bigger drain then talk, if you mean "sprint tv streaming"

So you got yourself anywhere from 2:30 to 3 hours equivalent of "talk time" on that charge plus some standby and 20 minutes of txt entry time?. You're supposed to get 3+ hours of talk (anywhere from 3-4)

Sounds pretty close.

I'm finding if I don't use mine much, battery life is fine. If I use it hard it's a juice guzzler.

yeah its like a car with a v8 engine you can coast on it and have gas left over but if you start punching it then your gas is sure to drain quicker!.
