Re: Touch Pro for Mogul Ecare email inside...

I emailed ecare at 3:40pm just got a response back at 11:23pm. Basically in the email i stated i Had a mogul b/t problems and they replaced it with a touch. Told them that I feel like the touch was a downgrade no wifi no k/b. Currently online price for mogul is still offered at 300 minus rebates as where my touch is 100 minus rebates. I asked for touch pro and they said with rebate and credits I would pay 175 and send them back the touch. Told me to go to a store on oct 19 when it launches. Not sure if the phone will come out that day. Not holding my breath on the deal either but if it comes out soon I'll go and do the swap. They said its noted on my account so there would be no questions with store rep.
1 email to ecare thats all it took same thing when i did my mogul to touch but the touch was an even exchange. no money out of pocket for me. From my past expriences sprint does honor my emails and exchanges. I am also on a seros account holder for the past 2yrs took 2 calls to get it. I have been a long time sprint customer for 11yrs. I've paid my dues and they have been great to me. Good luck to all. Not bragging just sharing my expriences.

I don't mean to rub it in, but keep trying. I was lucky. Try number one and here is a direct quote from the email. (Someone else had luck with this very process. Buy the pro, send back your phone and it'll end up free. [Touch Pro credited back to account])

"Once, we receive your old phone, the credit for the HTC Touch pro will be applied to your account."

I don't actually get this. They said they would send me a new Touch for $399.99 (or a credit towards a new phone which means I'll get that towards the Touch Pro) and then credit my account $399.99 but it could take 1-2 billing cycles. Does that mean I have to pay $399.99 out of my own pocket to prevent my account from being delinquent and then have $399.99 sitting in my Sprint account? Can I then "cash" out my sprint account and have the money transferred to my checking account? I don't want $399.99 sitting in my sprint account because of the way they are offering to "give" me a new phone....

Anyone chime in on my options?

So I just replied to the email and I must have misunderstood the message. She was saying if I wanted to do a swap now on a phone as a phone upgrade she would honor my 75 rebate and credit another 100 towards a phone. Then she said if you want to wait for the touch pro it would be an even exchange as a phone replacement. Cant wait.

Re: Touch Pro for Mogul Ecare email inside...

this is very interesting. so we have learned a few things in this thread:

How old your phone is. (whether or not it is still under warranty)

Atleast 5 years with Sprint.

I havent seen anyone getting deals that havnt really qualified on these two parameters.

Thats what happen to me when i did my mogul to touch swap. They first credited my account for the phone and then once I got the phone they charge my account so it was a wash. Your spending limit should cover you for the 1-2 billing cycles. It went smooth for me no payments but just my normal monthly bill. Its a little confusing just dont look at the credits and charges for phones and pay your normal monthly bill.

Ah. I didn't think about the spending limit. So I'll be okay if there is a $400 charge for a couple of months? Will that affect my direct "deposit" deduction for my monthly bill each month that automatically gets transfered from my checking account (i.e. I wouldn't see a $400.00 + $45.45 = $445.45 charge out of my checking account the month after I get the phone, would I?)

Thanks for your help!

Re: Touch Pro for Mogul Ecare email inside...

i mailed them last week and they responded basically saying i will be able to exchange my mogul for the touch pro and just pay the difference in price ($549.99 - whatever the touch pro will cost). they will send me the phone and return kit once the phone comes out on oct 19th.
ive been with sprint for 9 years, ive had my mogul for a year (no replacement plan or insurance of any kind), and im currently not on a contract
as long as you've been with sprint for a long time and have a current phone that's in the same class as the one you're trying to upgrade to, there's no reason you shouldn't get a deal.

I dont know about the direct deposit. Just to be on the safe side I would remove direct debit till its all cleared with the whole exchange, refund charges ect..
