Yes, but still not on-par with WinMo. Try it for yourself, nothing I can say will really translate unless you use it for yourself...

Have you tried formatting your SD card?

it stops on the text screen with a "failure to unzip rootfs unzip first" or something like that.

Sounds like you don't have a 'rootfs.img' file... Do you have that file? Is it named something different? Did you try to update the package or what?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

Found out where the problem is, watching the kernel logs as it boots. (I'm getting the "Waiting for SD card" error, even after a reformat of the card, as well.)

sdslot_switchvdd is selecting an invalid VDD of 17, and the slot is shutting down.

My 2.2 boots perfect on my touch pro but the ring tones and all other data that is built into the all in one file is unavailable. also the sd card settings say that there is no card in the phone (only while in android of course).... any ideas

Prior to install I created one folder to hold windows files then unpacked andboot to sd, copied startup.txt and voila! I do have to agree that installation took longer than normal, but about 10 minutes like the previous post said.
So the startup text has to be in the root of the SD card?

EDIT: moved ut bout to give it sometime...still gettin "waiting for SD card error"

EDIT: got it working....ooohhh so pretty what's the status on MMS?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

Fixed.

You don't need to copy anything to the root of the SD card.

However, the STARTUP.TXT in the andboot folder is badly outdated. Copy a fresh copy from the STARTUP CONFIG/RAPH800 folder.
