I don't think changing the "/data" version will work for more than the current session at most.

The boot script unconditionally "rm -rf"s the "/data/etc" directory at every boot and repopulates with "/system/etc"

Also I'm not sure which process loads up gps.conf so if you edit on the currently running /data/etc something might need to get rerun for the settings to "take". However, I'm not sure about that, it might be loaded everytime it is needed, in which case changing it on /data/etc would work for the current session until reboot.

Hye, there's another work around. If you install the newest one and it hangs during boot (15+ minutes of logo), then remove all power sources, then fire it back up. And head over to you SD card. Before you boot Android, delete the data.img file. Works on my Raph800 CDMA (just did a clean install a few days ago).

Nothing new. In the first post already. Well-documented issue/solution

Do you mean when you're listening to a voicemail? I'm not sure what you mean by not getting any audio out of it...

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

i must be really tired. i was under the impression it did not work. then i found the +1 dialing fix mak posted in the tp2 forum and that fixed that. then when i placed a call i got no sound. it would ring if i called it normally, no ring through GV. then i go outside to smoke on my break, try again and it works.

ignore me today lol.
