Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

Man. I thought I'd get away with it, seeing as it was 4:30am. File was still in progress uploading. Should be there now.

Fixes Wifi. Adds ssh support, too, but I'm fairly certain no one cares about that, and it's too complicated to explain anyway.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

Seriously even with the whole wifi thing not working this last build has been the most stable. Zero crashes or restarts. Running fairly fast and i just installed slidescreen which is pretty sweet. You guys should try it.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

This has been running amazingly well for me. It upsets me that if HTC really wanted to they could get Android working on this phone reasonably well. If the battery life was a bit better id be running this full time. Unfortunately the Alarm Clock app doesnt work either, woke up at 7:18am this morning...looked at the phone and it still said the Alarm was set for 7:00am...oh well lol

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

CDMA data is working fine for me, just had to create the APN and it worked perfectly from there. Marketplace, Browser, all working fine. Has anyone confirmed what kinda battery life can be expected from this? Ive just been keeping it plugged in since I got Android running but I would like to know what to expect should I be away from power for a while.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

FEB09 build is just awesome. Speed of the interface, stability...

WiFi works. It is on when the phone boots. I had issues of the phone rebooting when I tried to turn it off (occured 3 times after I installed this build) and after playing a while with the phone (opposed to shutting down WiFi right after boot) I can turn it off properly. Then On, then Off... Life is good.

As reported earlier I had to create an APN to get 3G, no issue there. 3G works well. Once I got email setup, it just flowed OK on GMail.
Exchange setup took some more time. The phone refused to "see" my Exchange server (host unavailable) and it finally worked out after 4 or 5 tries and a couple of reboots. I don't know what happens, I mention it as I had zero issues in the past setting up Exchange.

Shutdown is still broken.

I can make calls (and be heard provided I did start Android while having a call in progress). Oddly, I don't receive any calls. If I call my phone it does not ring, it does not vibrate, it acts as if it does NOT receive any inbound call and I end up in voicemail. I have stopped my tests here, I need to be reachable now

Good work! Thanks a lot!

I have USCC and have CDMA data working. I'm using the release from a few days ago though. Unfortunately, I did not do anything special to get data working. I loaded up Android, and I had 3G data working out of the box no problem.

Barring finding someone who did something special to get data to work, is there an error log or a way to turn on logging for the data connection so we can see why its failing? The data is clearly trying to do something (blinking) but what, is unknown.
