Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

makk, i'd say it is safe to make a new aio pkg within the next week or so. i'd wait for the new system to be released so wifi will work.

the rootfs from 7/6 was supposed to fix the sdcard for cdma but stinebd forgot to add /sys in front of devices lol so the 7/7 rootfs fixed that but broke wifi.

2.2 is much better imho than 2.1. less bugs and less issues, better battery, better heat management, faster, etc.

Just go up a forum level when you click on the link for the XDAndroid package.

Also, latest rootfs works for memory card on the RAPH500.

2.2 currently is only available on XDA. It'll come here soon. If you want to stay up-to-date on the project, check there. That's where most of the actual devs hang out, other than #htc-linux.

If, however, you want to stick with the most stable, AIO releases (read: easy-to-install/upgrade) then just stay here.

Thanks for the pointer to a new quote. I referenced what I read and missed the update.

Anyway, I'm glad that a new drop will be coming to fix both wifi and the sdcard, as I use both.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

I cannot get data working on Froyo. I'm on Bell and when I go to the APN list there is nothing there. I can't add an APN because when I change the MMC or MNC settings it makes the APN I create disappear.

One thing that's weird is that /data/etc/apns-conf.xml and /system/etc/apns-conf.xml differ. The one in /system/ is correct and contains a huge list of APNs. The one in /data/ only lists T-Mobile APNs. I tried copying the complete file into /data/etc but that doesn't work. I've tried to turn data on and off to see if I connect but that doesn't work either. I also tried editing the apns-conf.xml file that is in /data/etc but to no avail.

I formatted my SD card (full format) and still nothing.

If I soft reset the phone all the /data/ settings I changed are wiped out.

Can somebody please help me out?
