Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

2.2 seems to work great, even more responsive than 2.1. Like everyone else, I, too, have the issue with the SD card not mounting. WiFi works, at least with Static IP. I've read about issues with DHCP, which my home network doesn't use anyway. I was able to sync with my Google Apps calendar without a problem.

I have not tried data, since my prepaid plan charges obscene rates for it. Bluetooth seems to yield the same results as it did in 2.1. It pairs, but audio is choppy, and AVRCP doesn't work.

Calls and text messages go through quickly, and I can hear the ringtone.

If it weren't for issues with BT and the SD card, I would be switching to Android on my phone in a heartbeat.

Keep up the good work!

WIFI works great here. Haven't tested BT, my main problem is lack of ringtone/notification sounds. Only silent is offered as a choice. Ogg sounds played via the file manager work. The SD card mounts here w/o error.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

Is anyone else having issues with the battery level not picking up properly on a raph800? I'm using the 2010-06-13 All-in-one right now. I've tried many versions before, and my battery indicator always shows red. (Even when level is fine in Windows)

Also, is the 2.2 Froyo version over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711692 working just as well as the all-in-one package here? I hate mess around with 2.1 if 2.2 is moving along fast!

It is working good, but it is not as stable as 2.1 and not as much is working as in 2.1 so far. However, in a month or two I predict them to be about the same, if not 2.2 being better

2.2 is the newest builds from XDA. Battery levels have never been accurate... they used a pretty messy hack to get the battery status to work at all.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

Ok as an updated I have figured out A method for assigning ringtones under the 2.2 version.

1. Make a folder in the root (can ONLY be 1 folder deep from the root) say /tones (or something unique)
2. put any music/tones you want in there but ***DO NOT CREATE FOLDERS INSIDE IT***. (These can be mp3 or ogg in my experience)
3. run DevTools>Media Scanner
4. Start 'Music' app, select a file and play it to make sure the system will play it, then hit menu (the Home button on my RAPH500) and select 'Use as ringtone'

If you would like to test you can go to Settings>Sounds and use the Ringer Volume to test it. Selecting the tone will not work from the Ringtone menu in settings even after this method

I'd like to try my hand at building a ROM. Everything I've seen seems related to WinMO. Are there any howtos on taking a build from haret to ROM?

no one has done a nand version for us yet so there are no how-tos or anything like that.

neopeek is working on it however: http://www.neopeek.com/en/community/...ces?groupid=13
