I was thinking about reverting all the way back to the first post and 2nd post and probablly leaving out the tts stuff from post 45. I'll definately try it your way though, but what do you mean by not changing the sys.txt file? Do I keep the one that came with the app or use the one from your first post and not the one from the 2nd post?

Thanks again.
Use the one from my 1st post, test it first before you want to add anything. I'm working on a new Data.zip, branding.zip and sys.txt. In ner release, you guy can switch among all the available skins

To get the HQ TTS working, you need at least 37MB free RAM on your device. I highly recommend you guys use the tweaks from GOODTHINGS2LIFE

My sprint TP2 TTS didn't work either. After i install two cab (no push internet and skk) to free up ram. It start working. For me, the sys.txt didn't matter.

I'll try to install goodthings2life's cabs to see if it is indeed the ram. thanks for the suggestion.

Yea. I tried it on a freshly turned on device and the suggestion for the changes in the sys.txt didn't work

Thanks a lot for the help guys! I'll see if I can find time tonight to reinstall this app after the cab upgrades

Does anyone know how to make iGO8 repeat directions? On Devices with DPADs all you do is press the center button. However, on the TP2, I can't figure out how to make iGO8 repeat directions at all.

Xpsworm and sumo, thanks for the help. Wanted to update that my issue is now resolved. It was definately a memory issue. I installed the no push internet and skk cabs and away are the TTS issues. Everything is working perfectly now! I also got cleanram and run that right before running IGO. Thanks for all the help! Anyone else having these issues should probably look into installing those cab files as I was pretty much running a stock rom and didn't have the memory for the TTS to work.

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

Ok, here are my findings. I installed igo8 on my device and was having a gps lock issue (whick xps already knows about). I tried using my google maps as well, I was getting a lock, but, between 800-1000 meters to my actual location! Earlier that same day, I installed the new MS marketplace to my device and I am almost 100% sure that's what was causing the issue. I have not since installed the MS Marketplace and have had no no issues (with Google Maps or igo. However, the other, more minor issue I'm having is that, if you don't have you light sensor set to automatic, the screen dims to the setting in igo8 and I have noticed that even if your settings in igo8 are to the max, its still dimmer than the actual phone settings, so, leave your light sensor enabled! And last, but, not least. The system volume of the phone ALWAYS gos down the 1/4 after using the igo8 software, again, even if you have the igo8 settings to the max!

Apart from these small issues (Volume and backlight) the software works great, looks great (in portrait and landscape) and I have absolutely no lag, what-so-ever! Thanks for the release xps and I hope my input helps for future possible tweaks and/or trouble shooting!

P.S. The TTS is also working great on my device.

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

xpsworm,
Thanks for putting this together. I have everything working except I can not pick the gurjon skin. I downloaded the file from the second post. However in the zip file I can not find this file: GJ 6.12p_da_800x480.zip

I did find the following file: GJ6.12.p_da.zip
This file does not seem to have 800X480 in it.

I downloaded the 800x480 file from the Gurjon site. I can then select it. The app restarts, but locks up on the mainscreen load. The default theme works correctly.

Any ideas?

Edit: I guess this was a false alarm. I restarted the app and its working fine now.
