Not sure of how true this is but i just got off the phone with Sprint Telesales and asked them about the price drop for consumer accounts and after alot of complaining I was told that there will be a price drop for Consumer accounts on the 11th of October. But I think i was told that to get me off of the phone.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

So I called Sprint's CC line, the guy I spoke had me on the phone for half an hour. I argued my part and he did his. I tried the rumored 200 drop, he had no clue about that. I tried the Vz price match. Nothing.

Towards the end he just gave up and said let me send you to the "specialist case manager", after being on hold for 10 minutes he transfer my call to the regular customer service line. The operator I spoke to there had no idea about my case.

Also, I tried the on-line chat again just now, nada.

i am not under contract or anything like that, i want to buy the phone, somebody please tell me one thing, is there a way that i can online chat with sprint, order my phone, sign up and everything, get it for 199 all in the chat? at the same time

This is an excerpt of the chat I had with the lady yesterday. I bolded the date she gave me "October 1st" and the price "199.99". I am also only a consumer account and not a corporate.

On the phone with account services now, looking like no dice. They're telling me that because they waived the Mail in rebate they cannot override the existing offer.

I'm going to assume that it is going to be a case by case basis. I JUST renewed all 3 lines on my account, pretty much taking any of my negotiating power away. I bet if you're close to your contract end date they'd fold much easier.

Negative, corporate accounts have a large amount of lines on their account, usually 100 or more.

Well, I took them all the way to escalations where they still refused to budge on the price. I threatened and they simply refused. I now have a return kit on the way for my TP2 and cancellation scheduled for the end of the month. Not the way I would have liked to end my relationship with the company but it's bull**** that they are not offering this to everyone
