As for everyone agreeing that winmo 6.5 is out dated, lol, yeah right man. Maybe 2 or 3 people agreed with you in this thread. Everyone else said they were happy with their 6.5 device. Yes, we all know winmo 7 is going to bring changes. But if they bring the drastic changes you are talking about nobody is going to like it. See the comments on every single site talking about the leaked changes. I still don't think I have found one single person happy it. As I have said probably 100 times now- just because winmo is working on the next version doesn't mean the current version is garbage. Android and iphone are both working on their next versions too, so stop with the double standard already. |

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
You do realize a company who uses exchange for its employees will not go get android abrand new OS. Will your CEO authorized someone to go get androids when they've only been on the market for a year or 2. That report is incorporating all that. Like I said walk into any of the carriers in the mall and ask a verizon Rep how many tp2s and imagios they sell compared to the droids. Walk into sprint and ask if they sell more heroes or tp2s.

And, again, this is without any commercials, and most stores not even stocking the devices. Imagine if they actually had 20 commercials per day, stores fully stocked with them, and the carriers sending out mailers trying to get people to buy them for only $25 (like AT&T does with the iphone). |

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
I am curious about this commercials. So commercials bring Millions and Millions of sales for the iPhone and HTC and MS cannot figure it out and somebody here did? Can somebody explain this.
So if HTC and MS show 20 Ads per day, It will bring them fortune. But they do not want that? Or maybe they do know that their sales will sky rocket when they put 20 ads per day and then be bankrupt after 80% returned?

Now, Sprint's Diamond for example. I gave 1 to my GF. OMG, Sprints stock ROM is terrible. It is close to unusable. But there's no problem with us bcoz I flashed it with Mighty's ROM and that damn thing worked like it should. So imagine the casual users having the Diamond. Majority of them prolly dont even know anything about the existence flashing. So what would they do? They will return it. That's not even the worst part. The worst part is that that 1 person will tell 10 people. Then those 10 people will each tell another 10 and so on. Ahhhh bad for the business. So prolly, WM phone is not advertised as much since most of WM phones sales relies on powerusers like us. |

#1: If Sprint's stock ROM is so bad, then Sprint and HTC need to do a better job making the stock ROM. If Mighty and everyone here can make good ROMs, there is absolutely no reason Sprint and HTC shouldn't be able to make way better ROMs than anyone here. For the record, the stock ROM on my unlocked European Touch Pro 2 (no carrier branding, only HTC) was as good as any cooked WinMo 6.1 ROM. #2: Verizon's stock ROM actually got really good reviews. So did AT&T's (which was WM 6.5 out of the box). I didn't see any commercials for either of them. #3: We've all seen the HTC "You" commercials. HTC finally got the hint and started advertising. The problem is, those commercials are all for Android devices. #4: Even aside from HTC advertising, I see about 10 T-Mobile commercials every day for the MyTouch3G. And I see a Sprint commercial where they talk about their best smartphones. They mention the Palm Pixi, Samsung Moment, and some Blackberry. So they aren't even trying. #5: To this day, most Sprint stores don't even have a Touch Pro 2 in stock, and half the agents there don't even know anything about it. They are obviously just trying to get their commission so they will try to sell you whatever they have right there. If they actually had these phones in stock, agents would take the time to learn about them. And then they could show the customer how to use it right there in the store. I think the real problem is- Sprint/Verizon/AT&T/T-Mobile/Any other greedy ass carrier- does not want to carry Windows Mobile devices. They do NOT like the idea of consumers installing whatever app they want without the carrier getting a commission off the app sale. They do NOT like the iea of the consumer being able to WiFi tether without paying extra. They do NOT like the idea of the consumer having access to data intense apps like Slingbox without paying extra. WInmo allows all of this. The carriers always strip most of this stuff out (tethering) but we just put it right back. They can't just flat out drop WinMo because some of their largest business customers ONLY use WinMo. So they do their best to hide it form the average joe. THAT's why we don't see commercials for it, and THAT's why the rumors are Winmo 7 will be stripped down and locked down. That will get the carriers back on board with it, and gain some marketshare among consumers when they finally start advertising it. Everyone who knows anything about it will probably hae it, but it will get tons of rave reviews and sell a ton of units, with plenty of advertising. |
