look man I'm happy Sprint has good coverage in your area. But you are out of your mind if you think Sprint has good coverage everywhere. Don't make the mistake of thinking that just because verizon has good coverage everywhere that Sprint does too. They don't. Plenty of people, and I mean millions every quarter, decide that T-Mobile has better coverage in their area than Sprint.

You don't think the network has anything to do with customer service? LOL! These guys are calling into customer service for a reason you know.

Sprint is NOT known for having good coverage. They are known for cheap prices. They have plenty of holes in their coverage- in places that they supposedly have good coverage in (my basement and the office tower I work in both supposedly have good coverage- yeah right) and in places the map says they don;t have have good coverage.

haha, I referenced that twice already in this thread and no one responded! I even made a thread in the HD2 forums and no one responded!

Because of that, I started giving attention to this device, but still won't get one without the keyboard. And yes, it would make it too big and bulky, but then you're getting into tablet range.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?

I still have not seen any proof aside from personal experience that CDMA is more "reliable" or a "faster network" or any of the wild claims made in this thread. WHERE IS THE PROOF?

We all know that towers are scattered everywhere, we all know that sometimes there are objects or buildings that block signals or interfere with them, and we all know the phones themselves can give you different results.

So where is the proof besides your personal experience with specific towers with your device?

SaltyDawg seems to be the only one taking experiences from many and arguing with people with just one personal experience.

So then yes it is just your opinion, and no you don't have knowledge of the underlying technologies. Got it.

Sorry, I figured since it just ran today that I would be safe just reading the last page of posts. Sorry I missed yours. At least I started a dialog about it.

Yeah it came out yesterday and everyone is running it today. Big discussion today is will Windows Mobile 7 be designed to have HTC Sense running on top or will they actually design an interface that doesn't need an overlay.
This post has been thanked 1 times.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?

I am still in wonder why this is not in the general chat? has nothing to do with the tp2 whatsoever. If that is the case we could make a thread up for every new phone coming out.

Really this thread is so off track.

saltydawg after making these statements you're obviously just saying whatever comes to your mind, no body is going to tmobile because of better coverage. and sprint is just as good as verizon's network, they are both cdma. whenever i travel (and i mean across country, a different state every 2 months) I know for sure when i touch down i will have service, tmobile it will be 50/50. Just last month i went to atlanta (to me this is a major city, i don't know about you) I had coverage everywhere. My home girl had signal only half the time, that alone is a nightmare that only happens with tmobile.

who needs proof on paper when we all have friends with tmobile, and we've all heard the stories in this thread alone. you guys are talking like people are just making up the stories of the horrible experience people have had. SaltyDawg is not doing anything you said, you just agree with him. Why do you think tmobile has the cheapest plans. tmobile is the dennys of restaraunts, the low man on the todem pole. the only thing under tmobile in terms of network service is metro.

It really isn't. The HD2 will be out for T-Mobile first. So people started asking if it was worth it to go to T-Mobile to get it. Then someone said T-Mobile sucks, then it morphed into a CDMA vs. GSM discussion, which morphed into WiMax vs. LTE... etc etc...

It's still all relevant.

What stories? I had a friend and a brother with T-Mobile. Friend left because there was no signal at his house. Bother left because he wanted a Chocolate phone with Verizon. I've been so happy for 6 years with T-Mobile. I've said numerous times, I don't think the coverage Verizon offers is worth all the fees and packages they have. Sure T-Mobile may not have the best coverage, but it's there wherever I seem to go. I'm never stranded trying to get a signal when I can just move 50 feet and get one. I've dropped like 2 calls in 6 years! If you want to be on the phone constantly, talking about your feelings, talking all the way home from work to your friends or your mom about your stressful life, then maybe you need a different carrier to handle your "needs". There would be absolutely no reason for me to switch otherwise, especially since T-Mobile is about to blow speeds out of the water for the next few years.

My friends who have had Sprint said it was terrible. They switched to AT&T and said it was much better. Doesn't make sense. But that's STILL just personal experience. There still is no proof that a network is better besides with coverage. Apparently you've never taken a Research Methods course and found out how worthless Case Study Designs are.
