I have the same BT as you do and I couldn't be happier! The only gripe that I have is that the memory leak is still there but not as bad. I have several SPB apps, cube, and some other 3rd party goodies and all work great! I don't know if it helps, but this is the procedure that I followed to upgrade: 1.) Completed full upgrade and let the phone do it's thing with the Sprint extras install. 2.) Once completed, I did a hard reset on the device (pressing both soft keys and then reset). 3.) When the device started for the first time after the hard reset, I skipped the Sprint goodies install this time. 4.) Installed everything and set up Exchange. This thing runs great now. I live in a 1X area with no roaming to speak of so I wouldn't know about the switching issues. No lock ups and the phone finally works normally!

I have to say, that I watch everyone posting these huge issues. I have to wonder how many of the problems are not being caused by mods and other programs installed. Ive been running the new Rom for about 4 days and have not had any problems what so ever. I have not been able to try BT yet because I dont have a BT headset, but I have not experienced any of the lockups or other problems people have noted.
Presently it is the stock install MINUS the sprint addons running the following: A_C S2U2 0.86 Google Maps TCPMP 0.72 Bluefrog Big button dialer Vp3g HTC X Button 1.5 Nilisco Flashlight

Hey does Nilisco Flashlight actually use the screen, the the LED flash on the mogul? Im looking for a program that would be able to turn on a flashlight, after holding one of the side buttons.

Its great, when you install it it puts three programs in your programs folder. Flashlight = Run to turn on - Run again to turn off Flashlight 30 = Turn on the light for 30 seconds Flashlight 60 = Turn on the light for 60 seconds. I tied mine into the Comm Manager button on the side of my phone (because the icon reminds me of a flashlight). Originally I had it set to just flashlight, but I think my battery was getting run down because I would holster my phone and accidently push the button. So now, I have the button set to flashlight 30. Only drawback to flashlight 30 is that it doesnt turn it off if you push it again, so you have to let it run for the full 30, or go into programs and run flashlight to shut it off. Personally, I love it. |

Make backup -> unlock SPL -> load ROM 2.17 -> load Radio 1.40 -> Restore backup. When restoring the backup, it will detect the different ROM version. Select ROM (I forget what the other choices are), and don't load databases. When I did load databases, the restore had errors. Without it, the restore was perfect. It might show the old version number in the Device Info screen, but I know it is running the new ROM because of the version shown at the beginning of soft reset, and now my alarm works. Good luck. |

me too...
The boot reported version and the release number under device info were in conflict on mine as well after restoring using Sprite backup, even when using their ROM update setting. Having nothing better to do I updated ROM again, restored via Sprite w/o letting it restore system values after this, both reported the same. Minor configuration work had to be done to bring it back to look and feel. Would it be correct to assume that the reported release number was in conflict between the firmware and some key in the registry? And, if so, could this manifest itself in performance of the hardware?

I have now confirmed that there is indeed a new PRL version 60611, this was mentioned a page or two back.
Upon updating the PRL, my phone now roams, and switches back WITH the 1.47.01 radio!!! I was experiencing the lock ups and eternal sleeps before....GIVE THIS A SHOT!! Before downgrading your radio to 1.40.... |
