i'm not sure about you, but I think it may just be an issue with your headset. I have a Motorola H700, and my mogul works fine when i turn the headset off and on, and it picks it up right away, and disconnects right away when i switch it on and off, i'm not sure if it's because I am lucky, or if there is a headset issue. i dont think it's a general problem though, since mine works fine.

I am sorry I didi get back to you. The alarm is working ok now, I have no idea why? And I have had no problems at all with the new rom. The only thing I did notice is that the volume in both the ear and speaker are lower. Over all all is well. If any one knows a fix please let me know. Thanks all.

I want to map the left softkey on the today screen to go to "running programs" instead of "calendar" - i know which registry keys that involves, but does anybody know what the path is to make it go straight to settings->system->memory->running programs?

I must apologize

So....I am kinda new to phone flashing and am a little scared to try lots of the stuff that is done here. I was on the chat one night and discovered my problem with the new ROM.

HTC's flashing instructions don't tell you to do a hard reset after you finish updating the ROM. I did that and now my phone works beautifully. I guess that is what I get for being so literal with instructions

Anyway, just wanted to say that my Radio and software work great now and I was wrong about my issues earlier. I am just a n00b.

Cheers

Donna

my experience

Used this ROM for two days, stock install with and without Sprint bloatware ans with both radio versions. The issues I have had with the 2.17 ROM are as follows:
  1. Locks up roaming (I live in NYC plenty of Sprint and other carriers with strong signals.) This happens with the 1.40 radio version as well.
  2. Does not work with bluetooth Motorola H700 at all, pairs but can't answer in coming calls, very annoying!
  3. Random lock-ups about three in a 24 hour period.
  4. Alarms still don't work.
  5. Text (sms) messages lost after a soft reset (seems like not a big deal but I use this for work, some were important!)
  6. Memory leak still there.
  7. Issues with active sync loss of connection intermittently.
Guess what, after all this I flashed back to 2.09 with radio 1.32, got PRL update from Srint 60611 is the latest and they push it directly to the phone for you call*2 and ask that simple.

So far no lock ups and well bluetooth still does not work and neither do the alarms but at least it's stable. IMHO 2.17 is crap don't waste your time. Sprint really has to get it together with this one because this is annoying to say the least!

I installed the new update, the blutooth is working great, like never before. but the dialing touch pad got much worse, you have to press 2-3 times till you get the right number. It was a step in the right direction, but still not the right update. what takes them so long to get there act together.

There may be something wrong with the alarms. I have one alarm for M-F at 6:05am, and one on Sun at 7:05am. The third alarm is disabled. This morning, I had *TWO* separate alarms go off... one around 6:45 (the value I had it set to last night *before* changing it right before going to sleep) and another at 7:05am (the value I changed it to). Needless to say, I was mad that I didn't get the extra 20 mins of sleep this morning. Any idea how this could have happened?

May i ask what other programs you are running on your phone? I find your experience to be a complete 180 from mine. I have some memory leak but thats it. I run 2.17, no sprint extras except voice dial, HTC Home Customizer/today screen, QuickMenu, and Mogul Big Dialer.
