Major battery issues on Froyo

with a full charge & 7 hrs of NON use, battery is at 2 bars! I never had a battery issue on 2.1. Since the upgrade, battery drains super quick & runs really hot. Any1 else have this issue or a fix for this? I did a hard reset after 2.2, everything seems to be working fine, just really poor battery life....

Re: Major battery issues on Froyo

Nope no problems here, and I am on stock 2.2 through the offical full nbh update. Probably get 2 days on it if I wasn't used to plugging it in before bed every night. I decided against the ota 2.2 update due to the fact that every ota that comes out seems to bring problems with it.

Re: Major battery issues on Froyo

It sounds like you have an app or two running in the background that is not letting your phone sleep properly.

Re: Major battery issues on Froyo

Go to Settings > About Phone > Battery > Battery use.

Cell Stanby should be the largest % in there, if it isn't there is an application that is keeping your phone from going into standby.

Re: Major battery issues on Froyo

I have 39 hours up and 8 hours awake time and my battery life sucks now. With 2.1, I could go a day and a half with light to moderate use. With 2.2, I'm lucky if I get 8 hours. I do kill all apps that I used such as Fring, TikL, media player, etc. after I use them. Also autosync is off. I wonder if an app that's not compatible with 2.2 is causing a problem?

I'm going to back up and do a reset and see if it fixes the problem but this is sorely bringing back the memories of my TP 1.

LED Desire Light has issues, do you have that installed to use as a flashlight?

Using a task manager will hurt your battery life.

Ya, cell standby is @ 39%. largest thing there. Im unrooted & have ATK killing everything every 1/2. very frustrating!
