re: FroYo 2.2 Update -- Bugs & Issues

Day 2:
as i stated before, my battery drain is crazy. went to sleep @ 12 with 90% charge, woke up @ 8, phone was dead!
I guess i will try a hard reset, but my contacts on gmail were not updated. What is a good backup program for everything??
Ill post results after I hard reset.

*might take a while, i forgot I have to let it charge to 50% b4 I hard reset.
Thumbs down for Froyo ATM.

Froyo and streaming certain ports?

Anyone experiencing any issues with Froyo and ip cameras, Testtube, seems like there some sort of port block because the errors come up immediately like it never even made it to the ip port

Yes, having the same problem. After the OTA 2.2 update I can no longer connect to my IP cams.

re: FroYo 2.2 Update -- Bugs & Issues

Try this test for talking and browsing with froyo stock OTA or Rom of choice. Make a call with BT and then turn on your WIFI and try to open your browser home or any page. It seems with BT on first the WIFI gets jammed up. I just tested without BT even on and browsing worked fine on WIFI during the call. Seems like a bug to me to have either an order of turning on radios or them running all at the same time. I browsed around on Google for a bit and found nothing specific mentioned about this issue.

Stuck on OTA Froyo Install

I let Sprint push the Android 2.2 install. I allowed it to install and my phone rebooted and after about 20 second came up with a screen with a small Right Triangle with a yellow exclamation point inside and the little Android icon on the lower right.

Has anyone else experienced this? It is well past ten minutes without any change!!!!

Advise?

re: FroYo 2.2 Update -- Bugs & Issues

I am rooted using Unrevoked 3.0.

I have taken the battery our and rebooted back to 2.1

Does anyone know where they store the update? I will try a Recovery if I could find the file.

re: FroYo 2.2 Update -- Bugs & Issues

So i updated my factory fresh evo to 2.2 and know the A2dp sounds like crap. I synch my phone to my car stereo every day and listen to music. The vocals sound really "tinny" kind of like a cassette tape. Hope this gets fixed.
