re: FroYo 2.2 Update -- Bugs & Issues

As of 312 this afternoon, my phone had a full charge. @ 1110 PM I still have half charge with 1 hr of heavy use. Hard reset seems to have fixed most of the quirks!

Android Market...server problems?

After the 2.2 update I re-installed a few apps. For some reason they got stuck in "starting download" status, so I did a soft reset and then the downloads started, however some were unsuccessful so I had to go back and re-install, anyone else having the same problem?

My biggest gripe is the scrolling on the web browser is horrible. It's like I'm literally having to drag the page , no more flicking to the bottom of a page. Everything else seems ok

I noticed this too! I thought I was going crazy, it does sound like crap. I am also having BT connectivity issues where I never had them before.

I too noticed some weirdness on the market after installing the xx.3 leaked update. I actually had it double downloading, installing and showing on download tab. Had to exit and enter all was fine.

re: FroYo 2.2 Update -- Bugs & Issues

Had the Camera Bug after updating to 2.2.
Tried factory reset that didn't fix it.
Started process of deleting apps until camera functioned again.
First and only app I deleted: FRING.
Camera has worked perfectly since.

Couldn't go to my kid's first day at kindergarten with a broken camera!

I am having this problem right now. How do you do a soft reset? I am running the official OTA.

Soft reset hold the top button and turn off device. the hold top button to turn on device.

Hard reset: Turn the power off. If your HTC EVO 4G is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
Hold the Volume Down button
Press and release the Power button
You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
Press and release the Power button
Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

##775# Disabled since Froyo Update!!

I was finally able to force my Evo to Roam after researching for 2 months and now the ##775# hack to update your PRL manually is disabled.

Does anyone know a fast workaround hack WITHOUT having to plug my phone in to a PC everytime I want to switch PRLS. This pisses me off because the update doesnt do much...yet. I know I could try flashing a ROM but prefer not to root and do the xtra stuff.

That was the best part with having these PRL files in my phone. Could switch at anytime or update back to Sprint for a fast toggle.

Any help appreciated!!
