/data/local/flash_image misc /sdcard/mtd-eng.img (Then enter key)
I fixed it. But, just curious...
How would it be possible to type them the way I show them, unless you hit the enter key?

So that means, you must have typed them all on 1 line like this
cat /sdcard/flash_image > /data/local/flash_imagechmod 755 /data/local/flash_image/data/local/flash_image misc /sdcard/mtd-eng.img

I did mention that you should read the steps through before trying them. At the end of 5S is says "If you typed each line correctly, you won't see any changes and the line will just repeat once when you hit enter. Each command takes a second or two."

But anyhow, I did go back and say "Hit Enter after each line."
I didn't type it like this though
"cat /sdcard/flash_image > /data/local/flash_image (Then enter key)"
because I'm sure someone will type "(Then enter key)" as apposed to just hitting the enter key.

Now fess up...
How many times have you called a help desk because you couldn't find this -

A) The file didn't completely download- Check the file size compared to the pictures
B) You don't have it named correctly.
When you downloaded the file it was called eng-PC36IMG.zip
If you couldn't see the ".zip" it means your pc hides common extensions.
So then you renamed it "PC36IMG.zip" and now you see the ".zip"
Plus there is still a hidden .zip at the end of the file.
So you have a file named "PC36IMG.zip.zip"

When you get an OTA update notice, it first ask if you want to download it.
Then when it's done downloading, it ask if you want to install it.
If all he did was download it then there's nothing to worry about, and yes, a factory reset will get rid of it asking if you want to install. You'll just get the question about downloading it every once in a while.

However, if he actually installed it after the download, he's stuck.

SO once you have 2.2 you can't revert back to 2.1?
