Re: htc froyo 2.2 rooted need help.

Are you unrevoked rooted or rooted+nand unlock?

At any rate, it is as simple as transferring the zip file to the root of your microSD card, then booting up into recovery (while device is off: hold the volume-down key and power button until the white bootloader screen comes on), then flashing the zip file.

Note: you should make a backup, and wipe data/cache/dalvik before doing this.

Sounds like command prompt isn't picking up the android sdk\tools\ folder. explain step by step what you're doing to get this error.

unrevoked3? IIRC, unrevoked3 installs a Recovery, so the same steps apply. put zip file on root of card, boot into recovery, flash from recovery. After wiping cache/data/dalvik that is.

Re: need help with full root

first i pluged phone to pc charge only ,made sure debug was on then navigated to the android sdk tool folder but dont open it. just press "shift" and right click on the tools folder. now 'open command window here' from there i typed adb shell "rm /data/local/rights/mid.txt" and it gave me same problem as eco-recovery... any ideas would be greatfull thanx.

So that means you're on Stock ROM then, correct?

Well, since all the original unrevoked did was give you superuser access, it isn't a true root. (i.e. it doesn't install a custom recovery OR give you nand unlock) So, all you really need to do is install the OTA update via Settings>System Updates>HTC Software Update. I have no idea if unrevoked works on 2.2 though. You may want to check their twitter to find out. Since you have no custom recovery there really is no way to install the update other than OTA, or through RUU if HTC releases it.

you just need the line that is typed in the parentheses. copy/paste first line, press enter. then to the next line, press enter, then to the next, etc
