Re: dan@sprint.com response I got
Hey I am not for the fee either but sprint wants to make sure no one gets around it..and this way no matter where or from who you get the phone they get money.

From what Sprint has been telling me, you have to agree to a 2 year contract when you add that $10 fee. So if you sell the phone, you are still stuck paying the fee (and the person who activates it is also stuck paying it). Now we all know how accurate Sprint reps have been in the past, so that info could be wrong. But they have been consistent in telling me that over the past few days. |

They really have no way of telling if you bought it on full price or not..example..if someone gets an EVO for 199$ then sells it...sprint losses money. They want to make sure no one can avoid it |

Re: dan@sprint.com response I got
For those of you who haven't email dan@sprint.com yet, please do so. They are running out of excuses for charging this fee.
The rep I spoke to told me they have received a lot of emails on this fee. She said she have forwarded on to the "appropriate group" for review. Whatever that suppose to me. Maybe they will drop it for non-4G people. |

It certainly wouldn't be the first time they were ever wrong about something, but there were so many of them all saying the same thing I just assumed it was probably correct. |
