Re: Diamond Picmail Question

I haven't tried any of the fixes listed above yet, cause if I can avoid calling in CC I will be happy! What happened is I rcvd some picmail from friend who is also on Sprint no problem and replied text only through picmail app, so I know it works/worked. Now, however, I then (a couple days later) tried to send multiple pics to my sister who is on Verizon and she hasn't rcvd any of them?

This is the only problem I had w/the phone, so far, it is much better then the original Touch! And was really excited about it having standard picmail, any help anyone?

Thanks!

Justin

Re: Diamond Picmail Question

I know what you mean, I experienced this same issue also. I have found a solution albeit, it's not a simple one though. This is what you need to do, whenever you send a pic/video message, you will see the data bars, click continue and if they are no longer showing go to weather or even Sprint TV and hit update.
This will give the data connection the boost it needs to keep sending your pic/video. I have used the Diamond Tweaks program and that has helped tremendously, but this is the best method I have come across so far to keep the data flowing.

When you called Sprint did you speak to a normal service rep or to a technical support rep? When I called and the autotmated lady asked how can I help you I said "Technical Support". Try that instead of talking to regular customer service reps.

I'd like to know the same thing. I looked around, but couldn't find anything, so maybe someone knows.

Re: Diamond Picmail Question

I did both of these and mine work. I'll see how long it works. I sent myself a pic from sprint's picmail site. I had Jucy's rom but went back to stock. I did the phone call first that toinejuan suggested and they told me that my plan included picmail so they couldn't remove anything. They did something where I had to remove the battery. At some point after that convo and the next day I started receiving links for pics (Progress from not receiving anything at all and only people receiving the pics I sent.). last night I did the ##786# reset Bigmoe88 suggested and my pics started coming though when I sent myself pics from sprint's site. I have to get a friend with another carrier to send me pics to see if I can receive them and if it holds up then I'm finally in love with the Diamond.

Thanks for the tips

IMO, Picturemail and texts are the most important features of any phone.

Stock Rom, Sprint Service, Sprint's updated cab installed after I knew that I could recieve pics.
No extra cabs installed at the time of picmail working (Will be installing some after I confirm I can recieve pics from other carriers)

1) You need to either call Sprint, or if your online login into your sprint.com account and chat with one of the reps.
2) Ask them to DROP PICTUREMAIL off your account and do an IOTA. Then readd PICTUREMAIL back onto your account.
3)After this happens they will send you a test picture to your phone, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go into your picturemail tab and hit the send/receive in the menu selection
4)Get a confirmation they did the IOTA and re-added the picturemail to your account reboot your Diamond.
5)Your picturemail should now be working. If not just PM me and I will do what I can to help you out.

Also, a hard reset will NOT clear the internal storage. All you files will remain in tact.

i did this myself and it worked for me! hope this helps!

Justin how did you send? I used to send to other carriers with my treo using a number@something.verizon.net address, but now I can send from my Diamond picmail straight to the number even for another carrier. Did you try that? Also, if you're sending to another carrier, be sure you're reducing the pic size to a small resolution or they can't receive it.

I went through the whole thing with Sprint techs as well and didn't think mine would work, but then a day later it started working. It was like their system had to go through a reset before it recognized I was using a Diamond.
