Diamond Picmail Question
 

When someone sends a picmail message to me is it supposed to come to my text message inbox with a link or is it supposed to go to my Picmail inbox? Right now all my new picmail messages come to my text message inbox with the internet link to view the pic. None of the messages ever go to my picmail inbox on the phone itself. Is that how it should be?

Backup the phone with sprite backup or spb mobile backup and do a hard reset as follows:

##786#

Menu >>> Reset

enter you msl/spc code

Restore backup, uncheck the box for email, and you'll be all set again. you will have to setup all your email account(s) again, but everything else will be back to normal

Also, a hard reset will NOT clear the internal storage. All you files will remain in tact.

no, its not how it works, i get an alert that says i have a new pic mail, and when i select "view" it opens up the pic mail app... try my directions and see what you get. If all else fails you might have to call sprint and have them figure something out.

I use sMMS anyway, but that's how mine has worked out of the box. Not really worth the trouble of doing a hard reset imo.

I think its worth it... It is much faster to wait for picmail to open up versus waiting for opera to load up.

I tried the hard reset and it still doesn't work! I called Sprint and they told me there isn't anything they can do and it's supposed to come thru as a text with a link. So i don't know what to do!

mine comes through as a pic and not a text..

You need to sign up for a picture mail account on www.sprint.com/picturemail. You then will have a new email account setup as (yourname)@pm.sprint.com. This is the only way I could get the picture mail to get delivered to the Picture Mail account, otherwise it was sent as a text message. I'm still experimenting with the application.
