They ended up fixing it about 1am last night. I spoke to another supervisor, and he ended up doing exactly what I asked. He removed picture mail, and then re-added it. I sent myself a picture from my other phone, and it now works correctly. Talk about a real pain, but it's finally working.

1) You need to either call Sprint, or if your online login into your sprint.com account and chat with one of the reps.
2) Ask them to DROP PICTUREMAIL off your account and do an IOTA. Then readd PICTUREMAIL back onto your account.
3)After this happens they will send you a test picture to your phone, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go into your picturemail tab and hit the send/receive in the menu selection
4)Get a confirmation they did the IOTA and re-added the picturemail to your account reboot your Diamond.
5)Your picturemail should now be working. If not just PM me and I will do what I can to help you out.
This solution also worked for me. It took a couple calls to Sprint, but it worked. Has anyone found the registry edit to disable the notification ballon when you recieve a picture message?

Re: Diamond Picmail Question

I quit!!!!!! Called Sprint, told them about the situation and all of a sudden they see it as a way to make money. I had the Old $85 2000min shared plan with everythin included. All each said was that I have no data option or PIctureMail option in my plan and that I will be charged additionally. I told her to look at my account for the last 3 months and that I do have it and she continued that I don't and do I want to add it. OMG so annoying I'll stick to text messages pictures!

I've got an even older plan than that, and my fear was getting my account messed up. It seems they just don't want to listen, even when you lay out the steps that were outlined here, to get it to work. It's either one story, or another. If that wasn't the case, it wouldn't be Sprint though, now would it.

Re: Diamond Picmail Question

The problem is, if that picture mail code throws an error when trying to add it to your plan, there's nothing that can be done.

Re: Diamond Picmail Question

It took three calls to sprint - first call I explained exactly what she needed to do. I even apologized for telling her how to do her job, and she seemed nice. 30 minutes later she's still troubleshooting and she ends up disconnecting me.

I call back, get someone else, explain the same thing, and he troubleshoots too. Gets me to advanced technical support who insists on troubleshooting to. I reiterate how others have gotten it fixed before - still insists on troubleshooting. 40 minutes with him and I'm on hold - I hang up. I've got work to do.

Later that night, I call back again. I explain again what needs to be done. He still insists on troubleshooting. After 72 minutes, it's fixed - what did he finally "figure out" for a solution? Remove picture mail and readd it ("that's called provisioning"). Gee, didn't I say that a friggin' hour ago??????

But it works.

Re: Diamond Picmail Question

when ever i do a hard reset or load up a new rom, i install the new sprint picture mail cab located on the powerdeck wap site, and then i click new message in the picture mail app, after clicking new it configures the device and downloads anything that i have recent in the pictures.sprint.com account...

ok thats cool and great and all...

but is anyone having the issue where u recieve your picture mail online but only half of them are sent to the phone... outta 5 pics i recieved they all showed up online but only 3 of them were ever sent to the phone...

example:
Picture 1 online - sent to phone
Picture 2 online - not sent to phone
Picture 3 online - sent to phone
Picture 4 online - not sent to phone
Picture 5 online - sent to phone

i have been on the phone with sprint 3 times already and the reps are like " well u recieved the sample image so there is nothing we can do" aka deal with it, but if im paying for something i would like to make sure it works...

So when you say it worked, do you mean that when someone sends a picture to you as a Text message, you get a picture in your PicMail account? Or do you recieve a text with a link?

I followed these directions and asked the sprint rep to follow them to the "T" and it actually worked.

Re: Diamond Picmail Question

My picture mail works except half the stuff I send out never gets delivered. Some stuff eventually does go through but it takes a long time to send. Is everyone having this kind of problem?
