seriously guys, dont sabatoge your phones, that makes you a scumbag and a cheat, the phone is only $289 anyways (SERO upgrade).

every customer that walks in w/ a 6700 that even remotely appears to be "fishing" for the upgrade gets a repair or i send them an hour away to our sister stores that have 6700's in stock still. If you have a legitimate issue, and we can DUPLICATE that issue, hell yes well upgrade you, our goal is of course to keep you in the same model, but that simply isnt feasable right now or anytime in the foreseeable future. Having shitbags sabatoge their handsets on purpose (at least one or two a day) makes baby jesus cry, and inevitably hurts everyone in the end. And when we get them to admit they did it on purpose we void their phone, note the account... and then they go tell everyone that we suck balls. You figure the rest out.

-yes we are out of 6700 replacement stock
-yes we are upgrading into recon and then new 6800 replacements
-when the warehouse has 6700 recon stock we use it first (we have to) but its extremely limited and rare
-shitbags and sabateurs get voided for being scum
-if your phone breaks, cross your fingers, your odds of getting "lucky" are high
I hope what you said is true. I just payed $55 to my local sprint repair shop because my 6700 refuses to dial out. It will just sit there saying dialing, but will never connect. Also can't stop it, end buttons do nothing. Have to do soft resets hoping the phone will work when it boots back up.

CSR told me I'd be getting a reconditioned 6700. Won't be mad if I do, I really just want a phone that works.

Just got another relatively new refurb today. My other one that I received Monday was really bad. It was the 1st Gen (clear keyboard). I can't seem to get a Mogul though *sigh*

I just got back from the Sprint store. Sadly my 6700 crapped out (again). They said that they were ordering a reconditioned 6800 and it would be here in a couple days. I did get them to give me a free 1GB microSD card. Unfortunately that doesn't quite replace my current 2GB miniSD card... Hope it's not as bad as the reconditioned 6700s that I've been getting. Guess no more cooked ROMS for me for a while.

I brought my broken d-pad 6700 to the Sprint Center on Tukwila (Seattle) Washington on Wednesday. They gave me two options: 1) Leave it there so they can fix it or 2) They will order a replacement. I need the phone so I left it there, came back 5 hours later. They gave my phone back, d-pad works but not thing else work! So, they order the replacement for me. Came back on Friday to ask for the replacement phone. They didn't have it. I told them that I am helping out with my cousin's wedding on Saturday and have lot, lot, lot of friend and relative from out of town, need to communicate with them, i.e: need the phone now, just give me some thing that they have in their store so I can help my cousin. The Sr. rep told me flat on my face "Your is 6700, We can't upgrade your phone to the 6800, the only option you have is to wait for your replacement 6700 on Monday. It will get here on Monday". I didn't ask for the 6800! All that I am asking for is "A WORKING PHONE" for the weekend. This Sr. "Consultant" act like he just want to get me out of his face! Guess what? I am porting my three Sprint phones to T-Mobile on October 7. Thanks very much Sprint since 1998. I will never come back again!

for some reason most store rep. get a shitty attitude when replacing a 6700. last saturday I went to the store on buffalo speedway and 59, the cam on my 6700 wasn't working so I left my phone so they can fix it, well I went back 1 hr later and as soon as I walk in the a_hole behind the counter says "here he comes he's going to look at the upgrade" Ignored the comment, finally the tech sob tech says that I did something to the phone and that I needed to call lockcine. that was the last straw, I just went off @ the motherlovers. I told the tech, look at the esn and see where this fing phone comes from, I activated it 2 days ago its a goddamn refurb insurance sent me, what in ur stupid little brain makes u thing I fed it up? it came like that u idiot. so the tech got quite and gave a card with insurance number and said he didn't know but I had 30 or 60 days to return the phone to insurance company without paying 50 bucks again. so 2 days later I got a brand spanking new in the box sealed mogul from insurance, now I need to return my 6700.

well I just got off a rather lengthy call with Sprint. Total was 1hr30min, 45 of which was waiting for the rep to get on the phone.

She credited me the 50 dollars to file a claim with asurion, set my eligibity to 150 (which I wouldn't have gotten for another 13 months otherwise), and I ordered a replacement through Asurion. If I get another bad one, I'll just call Asurion, try to do a swap for the Mogul or I'll buy a RAZR2 with the 150 off.

I'm just sick of having so many damn problems with my phone! ARGH!

Well I guess workin at an indirect Sprint store must help. I complained to the people that mail us the phones when we order them and had them send me a 6800 in place of a refurb 6700

i couldnt sync my phone yesterday so i took it to the sprint store, i really really wanted them to fix the problem so they had my phone for an hr..

i was talking to one of the tech there and i asked him if they cant fix it can i get a refurb 6700, he said they dont carry the 6700 anymore refurb or new. He said my only option was a 6800.. i cant go to a 6800 i dont like it at all i played with it for an hr yesterday and it just doesnt feel right. my cs rom that i built off @#$@#$ kitchen and all the hacks i did to that phone blows the 6800 away and if i want wm6 we have that luxury..

for those that badly want a 6800 go to the newer sprint stores and check it out, make sure u flash back to 2.3aku and drop your phone from about 3ft on a semi hard surface, enough to damage it but to not look like u dropped it LOLLLLLL


btw they fixed my phone!!!!

Well I got really drunk last night and my 6700 had a run-in with a car tire... its smashed to bits. I hope Asurion takes it back. Its pretty f'd... lol
