Sprint replacing damaged 6700 with Mogul

my sister got her 6800 probaly late september. she had issues with the speaker or somethin and sprint mailed her the mogul to replace. I wonder if verizon will do the same when the 6.8k drops

I went to the sprint store today and told them that my screen goes white when i slide the keyboard out. He ran some test and then offered me the Mogul for $55. Thats a deal and a half

Well I got my second phone and out of the box it was broken. So I take it into the store and they tell me that they try to tell me if I want a different phone I have to get a new contract (I'm outa contract.) So at the point I get the manager (not even the real one just a "temp") He takes it back for service and thirty minutes later tells me they have to order me another 6700 and that they absolutely can't do anything until I get that and it doesnt work. Well I agree (pissed off) and call the insurance company. I talk to the rep and she's not helpful so I get a supervisor. Finally he agrees to send me a 6800... ABOUT FREAKING TIME!

All I can say is I hope you had a better experience than me...the funny thing was I wasn't trying to get something new for free I just wanted a working phone!

out of curiosity. when your phone breaks and you take it in, do they give you a temp phone? or are you without a phone until its fixed or a new one is sent?

Hello everyone!!

so I've been browsing this forum for some time now, got some nice apps and what not for my 6700.... this is my first post... yay....

looking for some advice....

I took my 6700 in for service to a sprint store yesterday because my usb port broke and quit charging.

So i left it there and today they said they would have to replace my phone with a 6800. the thing is, reading through these boards and based on reviews, it sounds like Touch > Mogul. In fact, I told the guy that I did not want the mogul, that i wanted the touch. He said the only way I could get the Touch is if I renewed my contract for another 2 years. (not happening)

so my question to you fellow ppcers is can i take the unopened brand spanking new mogul to a different sprint store and finesse / weasel my way into a Touch without a contract extension or anything like that?

If not, I guess I could always just sell it and buy a touch.

Why you need Touch? as it has slower processor thn Mogul. Looks like Sprint made 6800 as a parmanent replacement for 6700.
I also called Asurian and they are sending me brand new Mogul. it already shipped.

i never bought insurance for my phone with Sprint. How much would they charge me if my 6700 breaks and I want a replacement 6800?

My 6700 still works great and it's just the way I want it with the WM6 kitchen. My problem is the rubber fell out of the joystick and it's really a lot tougher to use without it (and looks terrible).

Any chance Sprint has an extra rubber piece? If not, am I stuck or do you think that's enough to justify getting a replacement? I pay the $7.00 for the insurance every month. Don't care if I get a different 6700 or a 6800, I just hate the look and functionality without the rubber piece.

Well I got my 6800 in the mail, new in box with all the goodies and I must say I love it.

mbartels. I wouldn't worry if you have asurion I know I just sent them back TWO broken 6700's I'm sure they'll be more than happy to pass them on to you....you really should consider talking them into 6800.

I got 6800 replacing my 6700 inserting a virus and they changing automatic. But kind of disappointed with the new 6800 because there are more programs 3D and ROM programs for 6700 beside 6800 and + the new windows media player on 6800 doesn't do full screen when you watch Live TV or mpeg files if you don't slide out the keyboard. With 6700 was was just click on full screen and automatic was rotating the screen for clear full image... To much money for 6800 and also the BLOCK services for VOIP ...YOU CAN'T USE SKYPE or FRING on Mogul ....Software is installing with no problems but when you start the conversation with skype for example the mic and headset going on mute. I try to use bluetooth like it was working before on 6700 but on 6800 does't work . So I am very disappointed with my new 6800 ...is small and cute but what for !!! when Now I can do internationals calls because of skype , I can't use FRING to chat with my friends and For sprint to restore my data service to at leats 128k/s took them like 2 weeks ...
IF someone has solutions at my complains please let me know ...Until then I am very disappointed about the new 6800 and I am really missing my 6700.Thx
