I just filed a claim with Assurion (joystick sticking) and they told me I'm getting a 6700. Darn it! I may cancel the claim and try to talk the Sprint store into upgrading me to the 6800. I'd be willing to part with some cash and renew my contract if I could keep my current $15.00 per month plan from 10 years ago.
EDIT: I'm an idiot. BEWARE. I tried to cancel the claim and was told the deductible is non-refundable in all circumstances. So, now I'm out $50.00. My phone isn't too bad - just freaks out (joystick sticks and flakes out and sometimes call people). The gal at Asurion said I didn't have to send my old phone back because she felt bad but I may as well send it in. They'll probably mark the ESN as bad, right? I guess it could be worse. I got an 6700 from my claim 2 weeks ago. I too had the bad joystick (everyone was getting tired of my phone calling them back after they/I called them. The audio jack was also bad as we tje volume slider and the usb port.

well I called Assurion when I lost my ppc 6700 a few weeks ago and they send me a refurb 6700 then I got it yesterday, today the phone was working fine till the colors started to bleed together so I called then again and they are sending me a Mogul. they are on back order so I might see before x-mas.

I called Assurion too when i lost my phone. they sent me a refurb 6700. the keypad stuck while typing making me have to re-type letters O's and other keys. well i called Assurion back and complained about me getting a bad phone, and the fact that i had to send my phone back to them before they would send me another refurb 6700. So they agreed to send me another refurb 6700 without me having to send the old one back until after i got the other phone. the 2nd phone had a problem with the touch screen not working in the X area. so i called Assurion back and told them that this phone too was bad, and they made me go to a spring store to have a tech confirm that it was bad; which i did, and the tech did confirm the phone was bad. so I called Assurion back up and complained about me getting two bad refurb... and they agreed to send me a BRAND NEW 6800 IN THE BOX within 10 days. i'm located in oak park, MI. a suburb of detroit, mi.

Well, here is my updated story. I had or still have the opportunity to upgrade my 6700 to a 6800. The camera on mines is acting up and when I took it to the Sprint store and they checked it out, they told me they can replace it, but it could take up to 8 days for the replacement to come in. I was like ok and just told them if something else acts up I will come back in. (I hate waiting) On the way out my wife asked me if I was going to get the same old model if I did wait and I was like wow, i didn't even ask. So, I turned back and asked and they were like, they can't get any 6700 for replacements so I would get a 6800 or Touch. To be honest, ever since this I got back from deployment (7 1/2 months to the middle east) and installed one of these new WM6 Roms, my 6700 has been running like butta!!! So, I'm thinking unless something else pops off with it, i'll just wait till the new 6900 comes out!

My USB was bad and Assurion sent me a refurb 6700 which I recieved today. Loaded Helmi_c ROM (new version as of 12/17). It ROCKS once again Thanks to Helmi_C and the Kitchen Team!
