I'm using direct push and ran the battery meter app for the last half hour. I only received one email message (it being Sunday and all) but my average usage was 98mA. Backlight on lowest setting but not off. So I'm not sure about Direct Push unless people are getting a whole lot more email.

With regard to the battery drain issues, it seems my average is 385 mA over 30 minutes while browsing the internet. Idle I'm closer to 70 or 80 mA. In a quicker test, while browsing this forum and subsequently writing this message, I've totaled 35 mAh used in the past 5 minutes.

I am using xcpuscaler running 208 MHz for 5% load and under, and everything else at 520 MHz. Other than that, no push and no other memory resident programs.

Are you talking about the file vhgill posted yesterday? If so, you will want to extract that file (use WinRAR) to get all the individual cab files (should be a total of 26 files). Then you will use your file manager to delete all the files you see inside \Extended_ROM2 and copy the 26 new files over. If you have properly unlocked the extrom then they should copy right over and will still be there after a soft reset.

The ms.nbf thing is an extrom image and is only useful if you are flashing new roms onto your phone. In your case since you've got the vzw files and extrom unlocked it would probably just be easier to copy those files in.

"If you do not want the Sprint ExtRom, use Winrar to extract the installer to a folder. In that folder, remove the ms.nbf file. Then double click on the MaUpgrade utility. During the process it should show you that you are only installing a Rom."

You have to extract the installer package from the first link instead of just running it. When you extract it to a folder you will see several files. Among them are nk.nbf, ms.nbf, and radio.nbf. The ms.nbf is the extended rom formatted for flashing. You need to replace the one in the file with the verizon you downloaded in the second link. Then place in bootloader and click on MaUpgrade utility.

Thanks I got it installed with your above advice.

I am having a problem still which I thought had to do with the sprint rom, but after testing it, it appears this is not the case.

The issue is if I try connecting to the internet it dials #777 but then I get an error message back

"Dialed: #777

No modem at above number. To check your connection setting and change them if needed, tap settings."

In addition if I dial *228 I get message that the feature code is not valid" its almost like I am on the wrong network or something.

Any ideas?

Did you make sure to hard reset after the install? Try that. If that does not work, read back through this thread. A couple other people had this problem. They can probably help you more than me.

After playing around in the kitchen for a while and not making anything worthy of staying on my phone for an extended time i decided to load this ROM. I like that it has lots of apps loaded in the rom and not using up too much storage space, but it looks like the program memory is a bit low. I might be mistaken on what it should be, but it's only at about 21mb free program mem after removing the today plugins and not having the apps startup (oh yeah and a soft reset of course). Is that about right?
