Are you talking about the file vhgill posted yesterday? If so, you will want to extract that file (use WinRAR) to get all the individual cab files (should be a total of 26 files). Then you will use your file manager to delete all the files you see inside \Extended_ROM2 and copy the 26 new files over. If you have properly unlocked the extrom then they should copy right over and will still be there after a soft reset.
The ms.nbf thing is an extrom
image and is only useful if you are flashing new roms onto your phone. In your case since you've got the vzw files and extrom unlocked it would probably just be easier to copy those files in.
