Talking Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308

Is this a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM for the PPC 6700 ? I recently decided to ditch the Palm and go back to my 6700. So it's on it's way in the mail and I want to flash it ASAP, I saw the Windows Mobile 6 from Helmi C , but was wondering if this was just a kitchen or an actual Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM for the Apache. Also it has been over a year since I had my last 6700 so I have forgotten how to Flash a ROM can someone point me to the post that has that info.....THANKS !

It's the 6.1 kitchen. It will walk you through all the steps to flashing. Things have improved a lot in the last year.

Has anyone had the problem where you are reading a text message or doing pretty much any random thing and when you close out of the app you are bought back to the dialpad? Anyone know how to stop it? :>)

Well, now that you mention it, I have that problem as well. I guess I just ignored it since when I hit OK the phone goes back to where I want it to be. I'm using the "HTC Vogue Default Dialer"

If you are having VC issues. Go back and use the older one. I really havent seen any improvements that would benefit the apache on the new version.

This is going to sound stupid... is there a cab or something to install the "older" MSVC or do I have to reflash the phone?
The build I have now is spectacular and I really don't want to mess with it.

Same here ... I haven't see an "older" VC posted, or a newer one? Are the ones in the 6.0 ROM different than the 6.1 ROM?

I found an older Cyberon voice speed dialer cab that works; let me know if you want it. I also have it working as an OEM.

In the latest updates of OEMs, there should be two versions of MSVC. The newest one came with the newer 19209 build from the kaiser. The older one is what has been used for quite a while.
